  1. It's really down to each individual force what they first say, I know of people who have kept them in caravans, and I have heard of people been refused them for exactly that reason. However, you can make them secure, and it would be worth speaking to the licensing department for the area concerned, it's not an instant no though
  2. Well said that man, I have a good few friends out there (Scottish, English and one Irish) and the feedback I am getting echoes exactly what you have just said.
  3. I lock mine away every night, but still loose the odd one during the day, when I grew up we had them in the farm courtyard surrounded buy buildings and the house, kept them like that for many years and never lost one to fox, when I moved to my current place, let them out during the day, half hour later when I was only 25-30 yards away from them lost two to a fox, they ain't always out hunting at night you know
  4. Watched a little bit of that, I was surprised how accurate the vermin pell were, they have always been pretty pants every time I have tried them and only good for close range rats.
  5. I love elderflower wine, elderflower juice, elderflower champagne, get the idea yet........... I was just saying today I must do some in the next few days as I have a large elder tree in my hedge, I usually use lambrini bottles for mine, they are good and strong, I was told not to use plastic bottles as it tastes funny, but mine don't last long enough to worry about that
  6. You know boat rods with multipliers are used 'upside down' ? Reel on top not underneath mate.
  7. It's very difficult to define, my deeds show that I actually own 30cm of the paved area on one of my boundaries, it's actually worded so, yet another boundary is the centre line of the hedge, so technically the highways agency should pay me for paving (tarmacking) and using my land. The electric board pay a yearly sum to have a telegraph pole on the verge of said boundary. Last year the cheeky twats put a gulley on the roadside to drain surface water, dug down, bored through my boundary wall and piped it into my pond ! That pond happens to feed 5 more ponds on my land, one of which is
  8. Agree with most everything Tilly has said, apart from the rod, for what you want I wouldn't go that heavy, I would go for an 'ugly stick' 12-15lb, they won't break the bank, and have an awesome rep, well rated by most serious boat fishers that don't spend hundreds and hundreds on rods. For example, I use a 12lb class ugly stick for wrecking, cod, pollock and bass upro 20lb, don't want a 30lb broomstick, I don't even go that heavy for conger In fact, if your serious about it, I probably have one or two old rods sitting around you could have, let me know if interested and I will have a l
  9. Jesus my blood is boiling for you pal. That's how loyalty to a firm is rewarded these days Unless you're the owner, loyalty to any company is a mugs game...That's not true, I run my own company, all my blokes are loyal, and they get just rewards for it, I lent one of them 5k to pay a debt off so he didn't get kicked out his home, -interest free, pay back what he can afford when he can afford, I paid for legal rep in court for another when he was charged with something he was not involved in but present when it happened.I paid for one lads driving test and lessons when he turned of age, soon
  10. Yes I have fished on one, in fact I owned one for a while, was a very good, stable seaworthy boat, I would certainly consider another one at the right price, however, that is well underpowered if it only has a 50 on the back, it will be a lot slower than the speed the boat was designed for, and will be very thirsty as you will be working the engine hard.
  11. Cracking dog, and taz is a good Bloke.
  12. Normally I would say it's an owl pellet, but it doesn't look consolidated enough
  13. As above, I have loads but miles away, we quite often chuck the short bits in the skip, but been 6 inch you need to be selective what sites you check out, not many single dwellings use the stuff mate
  14. How much ? DOH, just noticed it's a wanted ad, sorry.
  15. It's not so much what they are capable of taking from the water, they wil spear and kill fish much bigger than they are capable of lifting out and eating, I Saw a carp, it would have been touching 20lb, speared twice in its side, floating dead, the lake had problems with herons, but now I think the biggest problem is the cormorants.
  16. Feck me if you want them come and take them- just be careful what you wish for, they are a bloody nuisance down here, unbelievable amount of damage they are causing.
  17. It's a shame you couldn't find an old dead camel and sleep in that.Bear gryles done all right in 1. That sounds like crawling inside someone's dinner
  18. Let us know how you get on and what you use, looking for something myself
  19. Now that is very interesting mate, as I have shot them and put them in a discreet location well away from the public gaze (as I always do) only to find a few days later its gone, now this is not an isolated incident, it has happened a few times, I have always suspected Brock, but never had anything to back up my theory, but your observations certainly seem to suggest Brock will eat them, which in itself is not a bad thing, if he has a belly full of tasty fox meat he is far less likely to want to go looking for a Lapwing's nest, or dig out that nest of baby rabbits.Yes I will say i am glad I sa
  20. I would have had that if we were in a position to post things in this country.
  21. Surprised me how many white people you saw, I don't recall Luton been like that.

  24. Interesting, I had wondered how to go about travelling over with firearms for a shooting holiday.
  25. Nice looking pup, not into spaniels myself, been looking for a good lab, but all the cocker lads I know really rate them.
