  1. I could be interested if your ok to wait till next week ?
  2. What distance away.....you can knock up one of those FPV that they use on the drones pretty cheaply Even the cheap stuff will give you a 500m signal......then you can watch live stream Tell me more, what is an fpv, sounds like it would be perfect to watch my poultry pens that are about 100 metres away.
  3. A ground bearing slab does not need to be taken down to clay for a sectional garage mate, your doing just fine, get some good hardcore in there, about 6 inch, well whacked, blind it off with some sand, whacked, dpm, and 4 inches of concrete. I would have a look round and see if you can pick up some mesh to drop into the concrete as well.
  4. cos the engines blow up at kyou must of been unlucky? I've had 2 over 100k now? An 06 and a 56? maybe just a good year lol but I'd buy another tommorow (if mine were to "blow up") lol I know 2 that went bang 'around the 80k mark, but more worryingly my keeper mate got a brand new one for his work truck (water board) was very comf, looked the part, tackled some rough stuff (he had a good set of all terrain fitted) but Christ it sounded like a skeleton having a wank in a biscuit barrel, when he brought it round the farm to show off the first day, we honestly expected a tractor to come round the
  5. Defo not gapes jok, I seen that plenty of times before, and they have all been wormed recently as well. Stealthy, I also had similar thoughts, but it really hasn't been that hot, and I have lots of shade in my pen, most seem to be dying during the day, mid morning, the way I saw one gasping for air it looked like heat stroke, but the whole siezures thing, I mean it was really violent, am at a loss
  6. I bought the light force blitz, only a week and I fitted a dimmer, happy with that.
  7. I have lost a few of this years chicks in the past couple of weeks, couldn't understand why, they are about 3 months old and healthy as anything, running with my older chooks and no problems with them, then I found one looked like it was gasping for air, it started jerking and having a seizure type of thing and seconds later it was dead, seen it happen twice now for no apparent reason, any ideas ?
  8. Nice, that's the sort of day we like, thinking I may take the boat out on Saturday if the weather holds
  9. The Ranger I drove was brand new and a pile of crap. My mate uses them at work and he described the gearboxes in a similar vain. So maybe you are one of the lucky ones rather than everyone else talking tosh. I've had transits too so you aren't the only transit expert. Mine was brand new when I picked it up also, I decided on buying it after test driving three at different dealerships, 1) was just a free test drive wasn't seriously thinking about buying it at that point, 2) I really didn't get on with the salesman so wasn't buying from him, and lastly I tried another dealer who had a sensible
  10. A bloke I often work with has a Trojan and also speaks highly of it, but he don't really test it and only potters about with the odd few bags of stuff in the back, don't recall him ever saying its let him down though. I think the mechanics on the ford are pretty good, but expect the trim to drop off ! They are cheaper motors for a reason and build quality prob not as robust as the hillux, must say I am impressed how tough my ranger is and I do tend to be hard on motors, wouldn't like to see how it fares in ten years time though, prob bumpers and plastics all taped up like the older mondeos !

  12. That should have said 'if your Mrs is using it around town in heavy traffic'
  13. The seats could be better, I have been spending hours on the motorway lately and my back plays up, it's ok after switching the heated seat on though ! Complete tosh, you had a bad one and the dealer is a twat, you can't even hear my engine running, took me over a month of checking the dash to assure myself it hadn't died ! And I have a transit as well, so can certainly compare those two !My gearbox is tighter than a tight thing, although I don't like the feel of it (am seriously hoping it loosens up with some miles under the belt) it certainly isn't like a bucket of ball bearings.
  14. As above, it has to be electric really or they will be out
  15. Cheers for the heads up, typical as I just bought 2 recently for over £100
  16. Thanks laddy, I will be up on Tuesday late afternoon as promised pal, pm me your address please, i suggested to dessert dog he ask you as he is local to me and I could bring them back for him if needed.

  19. I thought farmers are allowed to burn anything they want? At work we have to get all our weed killer containers properly disposed of but farmers are allowed to burn them. We most certainly ain't allowed to burn them, we have to pay for disposal, and also have to keep a log showing what's been bought and what's been disposed off, they also have the power to check stock and make sure it all tallies up, days of burning shit like that willy nilly have long gone
  20. Not read all the posts, so may have missed it, but, the laws as far as I understand them are, You must not burn treated timber, you must not burn painted timber, You must not burn plastics, carpets or any material causing black smoke Any burnable materials must be from your own property, or arisings from work on your property, not brought in. These are the laws for farmers, I know as I have had several run ins about fires ( we are always hedging and regularly have fires), we have to date had environmental health, police, fire brigade and local council round because of fires, none of t
  21. What you got left mate, I may be interested in another one or two besides the two polecat Jill's I want, and my ferreting buddy has said he could do with introducing some new blood into his lot
  22. Return the politeness by hanging the lovely fox on their door when you roll him over.
  23. Ohh, you got your hands full their mate, I remember when my hutches used to look like that, they go through some food as well, but honestly, you can't beat it. You got much good ferreting ? I am picking another pair of Jill's up, maybe tomorrow or Tuesday, can't wait. Ps, if your looking for a home for one or two...........
  24. As Tilly says, and don't worry about shock leaders, your not casting with it, literally drop it over the side and start jigging, or troll along behind nice and slow.
  25. Normally get them in the belly flaps
