    Several options, Try shooting with Nv instead of a lamp, sounds like they are lamp shy. Shoot one and bugger off instead of waiting around, do that every early morning. Find someone to go ferreting with who has a finder. I would be cautious about giving advice on not using a finder without seeing the set, I lost a ferret in a four hole job in a grass field, turned out there was a 6 inch pipe they had broken into and it went for 3 fields before dropping into a ditch.

    My mate lives in town centre, his garden is only 7 yards long by 5 yards wide, he has a 30-06, for stalking and Scotland, am sure they never cleared any of that, they took the paid stalking as reason to own. I think each force has different ideas am guessing they checked his reasons and were satisfied.

    My mate just px'd a one week old hw 95 for a tx200hc and reckons it knocks spots off the hw, now he has decided to drop a kit in it and make it smoother

    Or perhaps the waiting times changed depending on workload as is often the case.

    Nice I'm sure Colin will be another satisfied customer Atb SO PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT JJ So carl what can you do to a hw100 to make it better IF THAT IS EVEN POSSIBLE my friend atvbmac :thumbs: Very good question, I would be very very interested to know if you can improve the hw100 as I am looking at getting mine sorted.

    I have a 200amp inverter and that runs all day everyday on a 13amp plug and has don't for probably 7 or 8 years

    Sounds like you shimmed the wrong side ! I have shimmed several times, and I would always advise using the old camera roll, the negatives work quite well also, imagine which way you need to move the scope, and fit the shim the opposite side, if you need to get the poi down, then a shim underneath on the back mount.

    Thanks for that, at 2k plus I won't be bothering with the quantum, I was only looking at the seek as it seemed sensible money, but if they ain't no good then no point, will keep scanning with the Nv on the rifle instead.

    Ok, it's definitely got a leak, it seems to be getting worse as its now noticeable on the gauge, 20 bar in 10 hours, so a full seal kit ordered and it will be getting a full strip and service next week just as soon as the seals arrive.

    I would be interested to know a bit more about it mate, am looking for a lightweight gun the Mrs can use, but one I am OK to pick up and have a ramble out and about with. What is the accuracy like on these rifles, I hear they are very well made, anyone who had one rates them, I just never had one, is it single shot or multi, and what's the seperate cocking lever cocking all about ? Rob.

    Has anyone got one, or used one, they look perfect for spotting when out walking with the rifle, saves a lot of looking through the Nv scope, and not a bad price considering the cost of things usually, would have liked to see some feedback about them though.

    When I tested it before it had a max spread of 9 fps from two mags, had it not been for one shot it would have been 6fps, am waiting for my mate to come over as his chrono plugs in and it gives a complete graph and printout, same chrono as I used last time.

    All over the place mate, can have 3 or 4 bang on the bull, then they can be 2 inches to the left or high, totally random, best group was inch and a half at 25 yards with not a breath of wind, when I was bored I was shooting wasps on the apples at 43 yards every time, (that's obviously when it was shooting good).

    All the obvious things, silencer, scope, barrel support, barrel cleaned, magazine, pellets and breech seal all seem fine, it doesn't seem to be loosing air, or at least not a noticeable amount if any, I have filled it up tonight and marked the gauge, I will keep an eye on that, from a gun that was so accurate it's now not worth using. I know pellets change from batch to batch, but I can't even get any reasonable results with the rwssuperdomes that it previously liked either, would love to put it down to pellets, but I don't think so. Must be a tuner out there that knows these hw's and
