Loosing Heart/ Change Of Direction

What did you end up buying rabid, brocock or an ultra, or something else? Ultra se and a s410 tdr -
Received your feathers today been working this evening on a few bits and bobs I'll take some pictures over the weekend to show you what I have made from them I'm looking forward to showing you! I thought they were jet black at first but they have nice colours running through them they are actually very pretty. Glad you got them, they didn't get trashed in the post did they ? Yes they look quite plain at first glance, but get them out in the sun and you should be able to see a sheen on them and quite a few different colour bands in them, looking forward to seeing what you have done, I h

Loosing Heart/ Change Of Direction

Well, am surprised to hear that, but pleased you feel you made the right decision. Opposite direction to me though, I moved away from sprinters, but I am in a different boat, my guns are tools, sure I love shooting, it's a passion, not a hobby, but for me I want to know when I point and squeeze it's gonna be dead. Best of luck for the future mate, and most of all, enjoy it ! -
Yeah the drop makes a hell of a difference, but wind doesn't effect the .22 as much as the .17 hmr. It's difficult gauging ranges at night regardless, I still struggle on my place and I know every field like the back of my hand, it just ain't an easy thing to gauge at night through Nv. Not knocking your choice as I love mine and wouldn't be without it.

Cheers bud, reading up on them it sounds like they will be pretty good, why did you change them and what for ?
-
Sounds like a good setup, hear those 6000's are real smooth (excuse the pun) Must admit to never having spent much on my freshwater gear. Have you got any photos showing condition of the set up mate ?
-
You still got these, I may be interested, looking for a good pair of barbel/chub rods for my local river.
-
Just for your info, anyone considering dealing, this guy is a gem, if he says they are mint, they WILL be mint, I bought a scope from him and he undersold it on the ad, it was a cracker, and real gent to deal with, so don't be shy.

I find frontline is good, but slow, my mutt often picks fleas up when we're out lamping, and I see them on her for maybe a day then gone, but...I hate them been on her at all, would much rather find something that stops them totally, as she does have a habit of getting on beds ! Is there anything on the market that can do this, or do they all take a few hours to get rid of them ?

I have met those dogs, the girl on the right used to live with me for a while many years back, big big and very powerful animals, it's not often I shy away from any dog, but they really made you think twice, you could just see the power in them, they were often taken to a farm and let run free, they could move as well, on more than one occasion I saw them snap at each other and they really came across as killers. -
Nice looking rods, I am looking to get set up again this year after many years away from freshwater (discovered the joys of sea fishing ). I have one stretch of river I can fish that holds barbel upto 17 lb, and lots of chub to 7lb, so got to get set up and give it a go again.

I have seen an add on day and Nv range finder that goes onto a rail......think it was about £120 What are you fitting it on, do you need a range finder that bad at the ranges you mention ?
-
I use the pulsar n870 lrf and I find it fantastic out to 125-150 yards, I use a t20 on it as well and I can't really fault the picture, I regularly knock rabbits at those distances with it. Further out its good enough to spot, but I don't really push the shots much further than that. The range finder is superb, I have checked and double checked it against some top range finders, budget range finders, and most in between, I have even paced it out, it's bang on every time. Never looked through a drone but would be interested to see how they compare. The quote about the buttons seems odd, I

Jok, I think the ads come and go mate, it seems they advertise things they know you have been looking at, or similar things, then the next set of ads will be updated depending on your browsing history, it's clever marketing really.
-
Yep, that's the scope I run on a lot of rifles. Can't fault them.
-
Some dry, some rot, I generally end up with a few hundred if the squizzers don't get them first.
-
My r10 is the mutts nuts, it has always produced the tightest groups since coming out the box.
-
If everything checks out in terms of scope, nothing loose etc on the rifle. It could well be the barrel. Normal outdoors at 35 yards would be 3/8" ctc or 1/2" edge to edge. Good days it will be better. But to be honest how often is it perfect and you have a bench to rest on in hunting conditions. I have a problem with mine, power is up and down like a yo yo, wheels are in motion to get it sorted though.

2 inch groups at 20 yards........
-
Your 100 should shoot like that at 30yrds with the right pellet Mine shoots like a shotgun at present, looking forward to it going away, should come back a new gun
-
Nice, I hope one day my 100 will shoot like that

That's good to hear, makes a change from the usual slating they get, nothing beats the feeling when you have one that hits the right buttons every time after time after time......... -
Sorry to hear that jok, I too saw the ad and looked at it, did seem like a good torch and I was half tempted myself but decided against it for the exact reason that has happened to you.
