  1. Have tried several types of pellet with the same results, I will indeed chrono it before I send it anywhere, just no idea who is good with the hw's
  2. Hi, who is the best person to look at my hw100kt, I didn't use it for a week and now it's all over the place. I did get a new batch of pellets (falcon accuracy plus) and it did take a very small bump when it fell over into long grass, other than that nothing different from before. I have cleaned the barrel just in case, almost 300 pellets later = no change I swapped the scope for one I know was pin point accurate and consistent = no change I have removed the silencer and tried that = no change Hopefully this afternoon I will set the chrono up and check it, either something has
  3. The super domes worked pretty well in mine, then I tried falcon accuracy plus and they were awesome, so bought ten tins from uttings and its shooting all over the place, doing some chrono testing tomorrow to see if anything has changed with the gun, if not must be the pellets
  4. Welcome to the site, I am not too far from you in bedford
  5. Thankfully not at the moment, we had it a couple months back but it disappeared pretty quick, didn't seem to effect the numbers much either. Went out last night and had 13, all as clean as a whistle, good condition rabbits as well.
  6. Well after the advice on here, I dug out a tin of falcon accuracy plus, and I must say, what a result, tried in two rifles and they both seem to love them, not a scientific test, but I was knocking pears off the tree at 40 yards virtually every single shot, felt so confident with them I took it out for a walk tonight with the nightsight on and had a couple of blinding good shots. Soon as we get a wind free day I am setting up some proper targets. Thanks for the advice
  7. It's surprising how far you can push a good sub12 rifle, tonight I dropped a bunny stone cold at 86 yards, and although 'not everyone should be trying this at home' I am regularly pushing my own boundaries to see what the rifles are capable of, and I have a couple I feel confident on long shots (I also have a few I don't even like 30 yard shots). Stick with it, practise builds confidence, confidence = better shooting.
  8. An old dear and he was up the wall pointing a week ago ? I would be looking towards the bee keepers in the area for help, they are a useful bunch.
  9. Try using disposable latex gloves, I know someone who had similar issues and it stopped, no idea how to cure what you already have though
  10. Bedfordshire, right on the outskirts of Bedford itself, was only joking about the plucking, but at the same time never turn down a hand I will take a picture tomorrow and see if I can post on here, never had much luck with pics on this site before. Yes that's a fair distance from me. I found after some trial and error that first of all you need to be on the full version (click the bottom of the page if your on your phone) I didn't have any luck uploading from my phone so I did it on the laptop. Good luck Sorry, it won't load them, keeps saying the files are too big.
  11. That's a beauty, well done and thanks for sharing
  12. Thanks but I since noticed its .177 and I am looking for .22
  13. Interesting reading about them, seems quite a few have been caught, and they stocked them in French rivers, one was caught in Cambridge, so it may be possible they are there. A prehistoric-looking, scale-less fish with five distinctive rows of bony plates, known as scutes, running the length of the body Dark grey/black back fading to lighter underside, often with green or yellow colouration The head features an extended snout with two sets of barbules and an underslung, extendable mouth In the 1930s, anglers landed two sturgeon from rivers in South Wales, one of which was reported to have
  14. As a kid we used to fish a small stretch near me, one of the landowners was a proper nice paddy, but he did like a drink or two, he kept telling us about this fish he had seen in a slow backwater of his, he described it, and it took us months to find the picture, it was a sturgeon, we showed him the pic and he swore blacks blue that it was the fish he had seen, we just put it down to a few too many, or an over active imagination and tall stories, never did see it, or catch it, we fished his stretch a lot, I did get smashed up one day, and often wondered........ as I was on quite heavy pike gea

  16. Thank you the body feathers i'm sure would be great. I still have a large sack full of white turkey wing feathers from Christmas last year, they are curved and after a bit of research i found out you can straighten them out to make them easier to work with by ironing them, but it's a fiddly pretty boring job so i have just stored those for a rainy day or in case i think of a better and easier way to use them. So anything other than turkey wing feathers would be greatly received ! No problem, the bronze birds have some pretty nice plumage, next ones I pluck I will bag them up for you.Perfect
  17. Thanks fellas, gives me a good few to try out.

  19. That looks quite smart, are bronze turkey feathers any good for you ?
  20. Thanks, I like the results from the super domes, one day I will set up a controlled target and see just how good (or bad) it is, always good to try a few different ones though.
  21. As above, I am interested in the 8ft and ferret collars, end caps and batteries., just the terrier one that's no use to me.
  22. Ah sorry, should have said its .22
  23. How much you asking, and is it .22 or .177 ?
  24. As I know lots of you have them, what should I be trying, I am shooting rwssuperdomes, and it seems pretty good, just wondered if there are any other preferred pellets before I order a heap of the domes. Also, apart from the obvious length, what differences are there between the kt and the full length 100t ? My only gripe with the kt is its too short for my liking, so thinking about buying (or swapping my kt) for the full length rifle, what's the shot count like on them, and are they much heavier. Thanks.
  25. What would you take for the rifle on its own
