Recon he must have been RH, was thinking the same myself. He was a very small man and spoke with a strange jerky whistle, in a broad local accent. Dressed old fashioned for the time too. Could run over the fells like a deer. So i recon, with the boom in all things Lakeland and hunting back then, he was as facinating a character as he is now....

It's documented that Dobsons dogs were of Bedlington blood, as were many lines of Lakeland terrier. Sometimes we look too hard into what may be in lines of the terriers of old and try to convince ourselves to what we would 'like' to find. Just go with what we already know... Its also well documented that Willie Porter gave up Tommy's lines and bred to the new KC Lakies that were being bred. Edmund Porter never was happy with the E&E terriers he inherited and has always favored genuine 'unrefined' working blood.

Swam all my life. Can't remember when i was taught to swim, by my grandfather, because i was so young. Progressed into swimming clubs and made it to the City of Liverpool Swimming Club and county class events. Had trials for GB but would only have made it if i could have gone to Uni but i never wanted to do that. My only slight regret is that i loved boxing but the two clashed, i was training up to 9 sessions a week in the pool and i was always a better swimmer, so i had to stop boxing... Stopped competitive swimming aged 18 and at 19 got myself a job with the Liverpool Inshore Resc

Like Downsouth, i've seen the Specials a few times, starting in 1980 and again like DS i've seen most Ska bands. On Friday went with the family and friends to watch Madness (another i seen in 1980) at Aintree Racecourse. A great venue to take kids (age 10), they loved it...!

Just seen a vid on FB this morning, of a Roe deer walking along my old street in Anfield Liverpool. If anyone knows the area (Liverpool 4) then you'd know how urban the location is but i believe there is a small population living happily on an abandoned site next to the old railway line (their way in!). They have also been spotted in local parks near to the same line.

I think those chuck away bbq's are great for cooking steaks.

Change the diet (a bit) and take into account the time of year, throw in a bath or two with a dandruff shampoo but what works for me is a damn good hand massage in the mix. Get your hands and fingers into that coat daily and it will make a difference.
