  1. It's called Orlando, sells for around 7 odd quid for a 10k bag. I get the chicken, as I mix it with chicken. Never tried the beef.
  2. Out of the two, i'd use gain but after trying most over the years the one i'm on now comes from Lidl of all places..! Which I first bought in quick as a stop gap. Mixed with raw it's as good as any and even when fed on its own produces hard small pellets, same size and shape as when I fed barf. Only the colour is different, (sort of luminous green but you can see it easy in the dark)..! Only joking on colour but the grub, for the money is spot on.
  3. Jim, stop piss-balling about and take the bitch on if you ain't already done it! You've seen her start so you know what she's all about and with that in mind you've then started taking her out mooching and if you thought she was a pig in a poke you wouldn't have bothered to keep taking her out....! Don't kid yourself, by dint of both taking her out so much and then posting on here, your half way there, she's as good as yours seal the deal and enjoy a good summer getting in tune with her...

Shared... (Though I gotta agree with Pete here, the post and FB post, needs punctuation for impact.)
  5. And if everything was stripped right back, the lies, bullshit and pretense that go hand in hand with the working terrier game, thats simply what we all should do anyway!
  6. The breeding of workers.... Do you do, or do you don't..? When is time, time is when..? Damned if you do, damned if you don't... Here's my take on breeding from tried and tested.... Get it done, as soon as your dog has had at least 3 good seasons and is at least 4 years old. Dog, find a bitch. Bitch find a dog..! Few good dogs make old bones, few plans pan out the way you want 'em. Best dog I've ever seen, I lost at near 8 years old, I never bred from him. I had his half sister/cousin there to be put to him for three years, same blood, tight as I could ever get BUT I was always
  7. Yep, club's too big, too prosperous. Right now the wound needs a there, there, there, but the dressing will come from abroad.
  8. Ginny, your dog gets my vote in the 'which terrier you would like to have in your kennels 2013/14'! But, anyone with any more of those ugly barrel chested, long backed, bent legged tykes....?
  9. Any more of that could turn a hunter anti...!!
  10. I didn't get a pc til 2005 lol 2006 for me but it was 2007 before I knew what to do with it..!!
  11. Crackin, love a bit of sea fishing (and eating!)
  12. Yer Stando, those massive knarley old hands, remember looking at them fold the lead back and forth through his fingers as he talked. You knew he was attending a show when that big old van came over the field. It always turned heads.I used to think what the feck that was all about, bit big for a terrier or two? I then read an article by Harcombe years later, which said he was gifted the van, by the shoe company he worked for on his retirement, as he never 'lost' a pair of shoes. His honesty was impeccable.

  17. What a fantastic greeting the handshake is and it must be done right, for everyone. So much meaning from a handshake, power or weakness, how do you measure up...? Politicians and world leaders practice the humble handshake to death, as they must never let another exert dominance over them, especially in front of the media, never seen 'em sort of fence a little before taking grasp.... and so it filters down through us... Done originally for folk to see you were/are unarmed and come in peace for close talking.... You offered your sword hand... I love the meanings of such things... H
  18. Right amount of pups for the bitch to do well with. Best of luck with the litter.
  19. One of the greats, him and Buck. Met Bert a couple of times, wearing his big battered old hat, very nice bloke, only wish I could have dug with him.
  20. Think he just had a Dobi bitch he mentioned a bit. sure he said one of his got a mention in a darcy book?? doing my head in now lol found it lol post 14!!! http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/232361-doberman-x-grayhound/ Respect for effort Stewie.
  21. Yep, very true CG. I seen a very striking woman waking two very smart smooth chocolates (I still prefer liver!) yesterday. They did look smart in their matching red harnesses and coupling chain. She looked proud as punch to be walking them. I very much doubt they'll ever see work but what they are bred to do will be the talk of the Bridge Club on Fridays. Just reading your words CG made me think, well what harm is there in that. Far worse IMO to breed from failed workers and peddle them out as good stock...
  22. Honest you should try it..........it really is just like shaking hands with a normal person.............long as you keep your eyes shut like
  23. David Niven's been dead since 1983..! The Moon's A Balloon.... Fantastic!
