  1. Never better that...
  2. Great post S.E. (though i'd disagree with your last line)
  3. I need to run on some £25 quid bin lickers off pre-loved, because that mark up price is as good as it gets...
  4. Mate, JP has bred many things (mostly for sale!) over the years, I'd doubt very much yours would have been sold as a pocket rocket. He had some ok bull crosses on at one time, I did hear or read about in old issues of EDRD, so at around 25", most likely yours is off one of those. Sounds like a good 'un..
  5. Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it....!!!!!!!! Half the helmets on here will only see a yard dog as a status symbol. So those with more brain, stop promoting the ownership of a dangerous five minute wonder..!!! They simply see it as... 'got meself some decent workers, got to get me a big nutter to protect 'em'. If keeping a big, ugly, man crazy loon in your yard makes you look 'well ard' to other fecking idiots, then your seriously deluded.... Me, I honestly would not feed or burden myself with such a 'millstone' when other deterrents are the better option....
  6. It's only gonna get worse... Does anyone expect anything different? But as Dogginlad said earlier, keep your real workers close. Treasure them, they are the/our future...

    Old Age

Note to anyone doing work for Paulus, get paid in cash up front !! Lol lol
  8. Yep, I'm sure he'd sell you sommat....
  9. I've always wanted a genuine working Border Terrier but the breed is saturated with liars and pocket liners peddling shite... The sad but funny thing is, a fortune awaits someone that breeds the right gear at the right price....
  10. Banana's, a well kept secret of the dog world.... Though they are only any good if you can get 'em into your dog..!!!!
  11. Apparently I snore but i've never heard me, so I don't believe a word of it. My Mrs blows me bottom kisses all night long, if it wasn't for the smell they'd be quite endearing...!
  12. Think thats a great photo... One to look back on a good few years from now.
  13. What you think the next fashion dog will be? I still think the next will have bull in it but won't be directly viewed as a bull cross....

    Old Age

Then I'm a couple of weeks older than you and our Mrs's are the same age too...! I'm the same, ain't got time for old age, though sometimes I turn round real fast and it's there, waiting over my shoulder...
  15. Your not, your dead right...
  16. No different in both types.
  17. Take me little boy out for a spin tonight local and he cant wait rareing to go I did mean 'young dogs' but I suppose the same applies to kids... Hope he has a great night.
  18. Who knows the mysterious ways of 'the attrick'... But I do hope he comes back soon, he's THL gold..!
  19. For me, the only people who should be running dogs now is those who have youngsters on that can't wait, or folk who need to act on genuine pest control calls. You with older dogs should have give 'em plenty over the winter, so this time of year its long walks in a change of scenery, taking stock and forward planning for the end of summer...???
  20. Glyn, I think that's the nail on the head, right there..!
  21. The dogs Frank Buck showed at Gt Yorks in the 80's were a fair bit different than anything shown in any old photo's of him, not anywhere near those old' Bordery' types. They were narrow fronted, rough, black dogs. More Fell than Patterdale, if you get my gist...? Then Mr Breay... And though I agree with you p3d, that it is too far back, especially when you think of 'other' recent lines, the photo's in Plummers Fell Terrier are both interesting and relevant because that is largely where 'recent' (1980's through) bull influence sprang from IMO ... According to Fell Terrier (and we all shoul
