  1. I wonder what put that in you head this evening... Simply.... :notworthy:
  2. Is it really such a big deal using a motor these days..???? To me it's just another way of lamping, its the norm now for some, just how they do it.... Half of you sound like the sad old boys back in the day, who thought the coming of lamps was wrong, from the 'traditional' uses of running dogs.. Or the arrival of the Saluki and Bull crosses... Get over it... Your never gonna change them that have, or do use motors.... It's never gonna go because it gets results.... End of....!!!!!!!!!
  3. Both the above posts are spot on. Personally, I like to see a dog leave it's bowl spinning. Like Stabba, i have a dislike for dogs that are picky and fussy and I say this from returning from me mam's after throwing out her little dogs bowl of crusted food. In the summer months, with a fussy mutt, it really can be dodgy.
  4. I'd like to think the good people of 'Brutal' see right through the silver spooned little twerp but sadly, under the banner of red his masquerade will probably conquer.
  5. I'd say some of your best work there mate. Always love it when people use the name 'the cut' too.
  6. Then, when all's said an done, all I really want is a dog that does what its told and puts out maximum effort in the field... How fecking hard is that..??
  7. Very good reply. Yep, but it's all about perspective, like every other breed, there are many different 'types/lines/strains/breeds' of collie and not ALL of them are worth a fecking carrot when crossed with a greyhound (or any other sight hound!) for 'Joe Soap' when he's looking for a 'shit or bust' hunting partner... Unfortunately, half the tossers that breed don't take this into account, sort of 'don't read about what they breed' (and certainly don't really work it!) the other half are the tossers who believe everything they read..... Hey ho, ya pay's ya money....! Aye, that g

  9. Just searched for the Montana and these came up.... Feck me they look impressive, but at that price, they can stay that way... http://www.gboutfitters.co.uk/footwear-c2/leather-boots-c21/mens-leather-boots-c25/andrew-srl-moor-pro-p233 If your after the Montana, they are on offer on that site...
  10. I like them self exercising feckers.
  11. As been said, old (probably) naval Blackjack. Any other places on your garage unchecked...?
  12. As far as i'm concerned, this is one of the last old school, no frills, simple working dog shows, for 'working dogs'. Well run by the good folk of the Waen Foxhounds. Those that know... Know! I'll be there!
  13. WHIPPET.... not in every case...!
  14. In this lurcher saturated world, there are far more examples of bad collie brain than good IMO because though I am certainly getting a bit better with age, harnessing that brain right ain't every ones forte and for the layman, most collie crosses are a damn sight harder to handle than other crosses. They can be simply too much dog! Edited to add, personally, I'd rather have, some of the other good points from these crosses, feet, stamina, coat, frame and bone. To me the collie brings more to the table than brain alone when crossed with your speed machines. Oh yer, Stabs and Tomo are dead rig
  15. It really does make me laugh all this 'which dog' etc... Thing is, how the hell can you call it when you've probably never seen ALL the dogs mentioned go? Before coming on this site I'd only seen and heard of the stuff I keep. All these Punch, Havoc, Stan, Billy etc I'd never even heard of, never mind seen, the only other fecker I'd clapped eyes on was 'ol Len's Terrrrminnnaatooorrrr (boy!) and I never thought much of that! I simply seen in that Pye stuff what 'I' was after, no one else shouting about it, just my choice and because it worked for me, I've never felt the need to bother
  16. Ed Reid collar if I'm not mistaken..? maybe came with the dog
  17. Ed Reid collar if I'm not mistaken..?
  18. Couch?!?! What about the jumper?!? Or the shoes for that matter?!?! Ok ok ok....
  19. That's what I have been told too Task. Thing is though, as that time, I could never understand as to why someone would use Spartacus when there were dogs direct out of Smithy about and if Smithy was as good as a producer as we these days, as back then, take him for, then surely a heavily grafted dog out of him would always be the better choice...
