Yes. Has he really got rid of the gremlins? The fondness for a bevvy? Can he really shift that weight by Springtime and remain physically strong? Francie, I read somewhere that the comedy series 'Father Ted' had a big impact in Ireland. It acted something like the fairytale"The Emperor's Clothes" So much so that a lot of Catholics stopped believing in Catholicism and that it's not uncommon for nuns and priests to be hissed at in the street now. Does that ring true in your experience?

Spot on mate. All those cathedrals, all that gold, all that accumulated wealth built up over centuries..none of it going to the poor. Another thing I can't accept is preaching to third world people that birth control is wrong. Condom use cuts down hiv infection and stops children being born who are doomed to starve to death. When I lost my faith, I didn't feel sad, I felt liberated. They told us too many lies for too long.

I'm exactly the same Wilf. I was brought up Catholic. I was even an altar boy, (but keep it quiet). I never brought my kids up Catholic. Organised religion always ends up becoming corrupt. If there is a God, I'm happy to meet him without belonging to any religion.

These shows have a similar format. They humiliate the contestants. Just once, instead of the contestants squirming and begging to be kept on, I'd like one, just one; to say "stick your f***ing job up your arse Sugar. Who the f**k do you think you are, you clown?" "Or what do you know about cooking baldie? You were driving a taxi not long ago, stick the competition, I'm off". Be a lot better viewing than all this cringing and thanking the judges for the opportunity. Or maybe it's just me.

Have to agree, if there really was a God. He'd have nothing to do with the Catholic church. A very corrupt organisation imo which does more harm than good.

I would like to know which area of Glasgow this happened. The car must have been parked outside a school for the blind. Taking something in those circumstances is not theft in my eyes .
