  1. How is a dog moved on from sleeve work to the real thing? I think you could teach any breed of dog to rag a padded sleeve, but bringing down a fugitive/ mugger when there isn't a bite- me -here sleeve to seize is a different scenario. How is a dog trained to bite the real thing? How do the majority of attack dogs react when they are clouted for real? There must be a lot who can go through the motions but are put off as soon as it's stops becoming fun?
  2. You can't beat emerging economys' prices. Trade between countries is never a level playing field because wages are so dissimilar. In one sense China has been propping up the west's economies by supplying endless cheap produce. We would be a lot poorer if it hadn't been for the likes of China. On a personal note though that f***ing Coranavirus has effected stock markets so dramatically my pension will take a dip. f****n chinks, I will probably die from the virus too.lol
  3. Thats a bit close to the bone mate. I am forever ripping the piss out of my Mrs for having a Corbyn T shirt featuring a photo of our great leader. Geriatric groupie is what I call her. Lol
  4. Good to see you back mate. I guess at our age our days are numbered, but I've still got one or two things to do yetl lol
  5. Got a couple of pot lickin dogs. 12 and nine years of age. They are yours mate. I' m sending them now via courier. Hope you enjoy.
  6. You scared? I am slightly concerned. But I'm 70 and it's the elderly it takes out. I reckon a pandemic is almost a certainty and with an affordable vaccine a few years off, it could take out a lot of people. Great for the planet, not so good for us wrinklies.
  7. What temperature should the inside of a kennel be? I know it's difficult, to say exactly because a lot depends on the dog's natural coat, its bedding, even its age. But as a rule of thumb when should a dog receive supplementary heating? What temperature should a thermostat be set at? Another question. Can a dog cope with being indoors of an evening and then being placed outdoors at night time? I tend to do this in summer but not in winter.
  8. Could you not save a few bob by letting them share the same sleeping quarters? They would keep each other warm and you would only need one heat lamp. Mine will share but they are mother and daughter so less likely to fight.
  9. 2 That's a lovely photo. I temember those winters I lost all my hibernating frogs from my wildlife pond...frozen solid. In hindsight you should have put canned sardines out for the kingfisher. I bet he could have put up with the tomato sauce flavouring lol.
  10. Here's a clip you may enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yevi8GlNgy4
  11. The gutter press wouldn't know how to cover a story about heroism, selflessness or decency. They would rather concentrate on the likes of young footballers making x rated videos of themselves shagging birds. Shame. There's lots of people who never get the recognition they deserve.
  12. My boyhood hero Harry Gregg has died aged 87. He was a survivor of the 1958 Man U Munich air crash and, risking his own life, went back into the remains of the flaming wreckage twice to help rescue players Bobby Charlton and Denis Viollet and then a pregnant passenger along with her toddler daughter. He also tried to revive manager Matt Busby. He played 13 days later in a victory over one of the Sheffield clubs. He would always stop and chat to us kids and always gave an autograph if asked. A proper bloke, a real man. It's sad kids don't have heroes of his calibre these days.
  13. I thought AIDS was going to be man's myxi but mankind survived that. A huge, pandemic would be just what the doctor ordered for the planet. It will take something completely left field to wipe out a lot of us. But there again it could be something simple like antibiotics becoming ineffective. Or perhaps a stray nuclear bomb which sets off a mighty inferno.. China and The USA will eventually clash but whether they exchange nuclear bombs is another matter. The optimist in me says both countries have too much to lose in terms of infrastructure and wealth, but the pessimist says look at the qu
  14. Can somebody tell me the inside story of why Man U got rid of Lukaku? He is a goal every second game dependable old -fashioned number 9. I remember G Neville saying he was way over weight, but he was a great player for Man U in my book. If he was fat it 's not stopped him scoring in Italy.
  15. Aye Henderson's stats suggest De Gea's position is not automatic.
  16. I never rated Henderson, especially for England but he's improved a lot over the last two years or so.
  17. I had a foreman once who liked a drink. One night he was walking past Burton's window and fancied a new suit. He managed to smash a hole in the glass, crawled through, oozing blood, put a new jacket on and fell asleep. The cops had to wake him up. A weekend in jail and he was back at work Monday morning. I remember him breaking the ice on a barrel of water and ducking his head right in. Best way to sober up he reckoned on a Monday morning.
  18. You might be right, could be a con. Personally I would rather do bird than be put into a strait jacket or have to take a chemical cosh courtesy of a Miss Ratchet think alike.
  19. You are probably right their coats are in magnificent condition.
  20. I've been rescuing them from Irish hunters and keeping them in my wildlife sanctuary .
