What van did you have when it was broken in to?. Was it a MK 6 or 7 Transit?. Merc Sprinter, can I have my tools back lol... What ever van anyone gets you MUST get an after market lock fitted. The pick for a Sprinter is Lishi HU64. VW Transporters and Audis are HU66 picks. There is already a pick out for the new Ford Transit Custom vans it's a Prodecoder HU101. But the easiest buy far to get into is a MK 6 or 7 Transit. They use Tibbe lock and it's shite. You can gain entry in to them in under 7 seconds and as there is only the one lock on the drivers door this will open the side

I told this one bloke, that lived literally 5 mins a way from me, that I would charge him £45 a visit. He said he'd been had by paying people who had caught nothing. I said what do you want to pay then?, he said £35 a mole!. I said, umm, OK that's fine by me. I caught 5 moles so £175. Straight away I thought I was going to have trouble getting paid but, no, he paid up. A while latter he called me back and said he had moles around his carp ponds. Same deal, same amount of moles caught. Went to see him and no one answered the door. Called him numerous times and no answer, in the end left a note.

I only use Duffus. Buy cheap ones and you'll spend time messing around adjusting the trigger and they still won't be right. if you have a wall or fence check along there, they like to make runs around perimeters. If you got a mole that keeps blocking traps put 2 or 3 in in a row. It'll block the first trap then dig around it and get caught in the second or 3rd trap, If you can see it moving earth don't bother hitting it or trying to dig it out just shoot it with a 12gauge.

He reckons he's caught nearly 8000 moles in a year, at £10 a mole plus setting up fee, plus he's got time to be a hedge layer???, he must be minted!. I know a former Mole Catcher of the year and when I first got to know him I commented on how many he had caught. He admitted it was all made up. Each year there is a new mole catcher of the year with a crazy catch record. They just come up with a number that'll beat every one else and BINGO!, they get all this press publicity. Bloke I know was on the telly, radio and the papers, you just can't buy that kind of publicity. What makes me laugh is no

Get a trail cam!. These things are the nuts. If some one's looking for snares they ain't going to see a trail cam in camo that's on a tree or post. I use these, be careful of cheep imitations http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hunting-Camera-Trail-Security-Farm-IR-Cam-Scouting-Little-Acorn-Ltl-5210A-940NM-/222346916058?hash=item33c4e8b0da:g:R7AAAOSwux5YUlAs

Which You Like Best For Pest Control?
PLEDGEY replied to rubenson's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I like shooting and traps. Ficam for wasps. Some times I'll use bait boxes but not that often. -
I got called out to a restaurant to sort out a squirrel problem in their attic. I asked how they knew it was squirrels and they said they had been told by the pest controller that has their contract that it was a squirrel. Apparently this thing was making a hell of a noise and guests could hear 'running around' in the attic and could I have a look as it seemed the 'professional' pest controller (well know firm) wasn't having any luck. Bloke was crapping it he was going to get a reputation for having vermin on his premises. Any way, goes up to have a look and the first thing I find is a Kania 2

Bees won't sting while they are just a swarm on a bush/tree or what ever. Get a card board box and shake them in it. The idea is to just get the queen in there. Put the box on the floor and if the Queen's in there you'll see all the other bees make their way in to the box. Bee keeper bloke that I got to get rid of a swarm showed me how to do it. He also said that a box full of bees with an active Queen is worth about £150.

Get yourself a feeder set up and put a hide 20 yards away. You can sit in there in all weathers and shoot the squirrels as they come down to feed. I got one in my field and have had hundreds of squirrels off of it over the years. Once they know there is food to be had they'll visit it like it's a McDonalds.

First Fac In West Yorkshire?
PLEDGEY replied to Bornagainyorkshire's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
If, when you are interviewed by your FAO, he thinks you sound competent and knowledgable, and he thinks you do have a genuine need for what you are asking for, you'll probably get it. -
Some interesting wax slug viewing material by a channel called Talfledermaus on Youtube . They shoot all kinds of weird shit, well worth giving them a Sub. CLICK HERE--->

''Oh!,....my Mom's gonna' kill me!'' WTF is a stupid little prick like that doin' with any kind of fire arm????. I wouldn't even let him have a BB gun.

Tried some Eleys once but them smelt funny and felt waxy, so now I stick with Winny 40g subs.

I have a Starlight Archer. Use it on a Mamba Lite on the .22lr, Hawke sidewinder30 4-16x50 on the HMR and a Hawke, can't remember what it is , on my AA S410 PCP air rifle. What everyou get make sure the paralax is on the side of the scope and not on the very front, like I have on my air rifle. It's a pain haveing to lean forward to focus. Also take the batteries out if it's got an illuminted reticle. If you turn that on while the Archer is on it could damage it.

I got a couple 'Little Acorn' trail cams. They are brilliant for seeing what's coming to feeders in the day. Also use them for putting in attics to see what rat/mouse activity there is. Told a bloke that it was rats in his attic and he said that the last pest controllers had said it was a squirrel. It wasn't until he saw the footage that he believe me. Also filmed myselm, couldn't believe how much I toss and turn at night :-)

I use the Starlight Archer. It'll fit to any of my guns without the need to rezero. I did have an N550 but it went through batteries so quick, Archer lasts 60 hours on 1 battery, and I didn't like the changing of scopes/rezeroing every time. I changed the FireFly I/R laser, that was on the Archer, for a Night Master 800I/R, it's much clearer and the batteries seem to last a long time. I put the FireFly on top of a cheap Gen 1 monocular that I got off Ebay for £40, makes a great little spotter. I got this one perm where there are loads of rats and I shoot off of a sort of high table thing that

Getting Started Hunting...suggestions?
PLEDGEY replied to PaulJC's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Last week I was at a premises in the country that deals with food . Noticed a lot of food waste. Asked if they had a rat problem and they said they had a hell of a problem. They are putting down 40 kilo a month of grain poison and have a pest control firm come in, they need the documentation, and they are still breeding like mad. Said I would come for free and shoot with the night vision an my S410 air rifle. Then the main man turns up and asks if I shoot rabbits. There was a lot of noise from the machinery but I could hear him say he had 3 acres and could provide a quad bike. I said I preferr -
