If you look down your scope and you see the cross hair on the centre of a paper target, that's good. If you move your head from side to side the cross hair will move side to side as well and that's bad. If you have a scope with a parallax adjustment and you set it to the distance at which you are shooting it will minimise this effect. The farther away and the greater the magnification the more this has an effect on what you are shooting. Well there were loads of rats but they were coming from shipping containers on land next to the pig pens. They came through a hedge and then ran to the feeding troughs which were about 40 yards out in the pig field. Couldn't go in there as it was proper deep mud and full of pigs shit. Got 3 rats then decieded to see if there was anything else about. Found a feeder box thing in a barn and had 6 from ender there, you could just see them underneth the feeder 'bout 20yards away. Went there this afternoon and the farmers wife and son, he's about 9, were there. Chatted for ages with the wife and got shown around by the boy. Magpies?????, I've never seen so many. Seriously, there were 10-12 of them coming out of the barn. Walked to the end of a barn to where there where 2 dead pigs awaiting collection for disposal. Was told the buzzard pecks open the carcasses and the magpies then get to work. Rounded the corner and I have never seen so many magpies, it was like a cloud of them. Was driving from Spaxton to North Petherton through the lanes when I passed a gate way. Had a double take then slammed the brakes on and reversed. Got out and there is a shopping trolley with 4 dead rabbits in it and another one on the floor. Looked over the gate and there were a couple more in there as well. Thought well they can't stay there so I throw them in the field out off view. They had all been shot in the head. They had all been shot with an air rifle. Now I'm thinking if you had permission to shoot on some ones land you wouldn't dump what you have just shot in the gate way in a shop

Watched this video on Youtube last night and thought it looked so good I bought one. The one I bought is the same as in the video. Bid for it on Ebay and won, it was £105 delivered. It's coming from China so it's gonna' take a while and that's why it was cheap as well. Like I said , some people think they look cheap, I think they look alright. One of the reasons you can get so much gun for the money is the company hasn't got a massive out lay for promotion. I bet companies like AA and Daystate spend sh1t loads of £££ on advertising and promotional goodies, this has all got to be paid for. -

Just watched some videos on youtube of Zbroia air rifles and they look like they perform alright. Some of the reviews were shooting new guns, so a build up of lead in the barrel will only make them more accurate. Some people say they look cheap, well, they are cheap, but I think they look alright and for some people they're gonna' tick all the boxes for the money. -

I'm totally sorted insurance wise. Got full B.A.S.C and separate insurance for the pest control I do as I'm a full B.P.C.A. controller. As for what I shoot I put any 'dead stuff' in the corner of the field I got next to the house. By the next day it's usually gone. Fox, badgers of buzzards take it. If I go out tomorrow it'll be to take some distances with the range finder. Mark good backstops, where I can and can't shoot, look for water pipes e.t.c and do a general risk assessment. I was giving a friend a hand to load up some Heras fence panels on a farm today, not his farm. We had to stay there for an hour for his TACO brake. Anyways, I start looking around and notice there are shit loads of Magpies and feral pigeons every where. About 60 meters away is a open barn with pig and calf noises coming from it. I go and have a look inside and 8 or 9 Magpies go shooting out the back end of the barn. I go and see the farmer and ask if he's noticed the amount of Magpies he's got?. Vegans are nuts. Seriously, I used to work with a vegetarian and a vegan. The vegetarian was fine, he just didn't like meat and never used to preach. The vegan, well, totally different. We were working away on the Isle of Wight for 4 months and staying in this well smart rented house. House had a leather sofa and the whole time we were there the twat sat on the floor. What he used to eat looked like crap. f****n' soya and noodles with soya sauce and soya sausages, soya burgers, tofu curd, stuff that only looked fit for the bin.

I like SCRUFFS work wear. Their trousers are really tough and have pockets in the knees for foam type pads......and I like that. I got a padded waist coat with a hood that's SCRUFFS and it's well toasty warm. Mole Valley Farmers is good as well. Boots, I wear V12 steel toe cap work boots. They're water proof, not just resistant, and I get them for £70 a pair. I have had all the singing dancing clothing in the past, the Mrs would buy it for birthdays, Christmas etc, but to be honest for what I do the gear I have now is just as good and a lot cheaper. Find out where there are allotments and see if they have a rabbit problem. The Mrs got a call from an old school friend about a reunion she's trying to organise. We went round and she mentions she's the head cheese in charge of 2 plots of allotments, each about 3 acres, and there are rabbits eating all their lovely veg. Got 2 allotments now.
