I use a NEWTON N/V 3X42 monocular. Bought it off of Ebay. Paid £50 for it used and it works perfect. I use it with a Firefly I/R illuminator and this lets me see out to 200yrds. I could have bought a digital N/V for the same money as both the NEWTON and the Firefly but I find digital equipment eats batteries and is too big for me. The Firefly lasts 60hours on 1 x CR123 and the NEWTON lasts 30 hours on 2 x AAA's. The ocular lens adjustment is extremely sensitive on the NEWTON so when I'm happy with the view I keep it in place with some Gaffer tape. It's built very solid and I've dropped it a fe

I only ever use Ficam 'D' for wasps. It's not cheap and you need a duster applicator, I use a Birchmeier DR5, but it's the bollocks on wasps. It contains Bendiocarb, This stuff is nasty so wear a respirator.

The wasps go for meat as this is what they feed the wasp larvae back at the nest. The adult wasps feed on the sweet sugary stuff the larvae crap out. When it gets cold the Queens stop laying eggs and go and find some where to hibernate. Because there are no eggs this means no more larvae. No more larvae no more sweet sugary stuff for the adults to eat. This is when they start to really go for rotting fruit, This hasn't got all the nutrients an adult needs and it also gets them pissed. This is why you are more likely to get stung by a wasp when it's from a nest that has no Queen. You often hear

I know this might sound stupid but I saw it on the Telly years ago. This bloke was trying to find the nest of some sort of flying insect. Can't remember what it was but what he did was tie a piece of cotton around the insect. This impaired and slowed down its flight and he was able to follow it and find the nest. If you could catch a wasp and tie a piece of cotton to it you'll be sorted. I'm actually pissin' me self laughin' as I type this because of the mental picture of stung fingers. If you do try it set up a camera and film it. If you were to actually get it to work,....well!,...legend!

I use that there Napier pellet oil as well. Don't know if it actually makes the pellet any more accurate but it does 'juice up' the barrel.

I've always used AA Field Diabolos and never had a problem. Had the odd one that went in the bin but they are never as bad as some of those in the above photos, they are shocking. Have had a few tins of RWS Super H point and they seemed very good but only out to 20yards and then they were all over the place.

A Little Play With The 223 And 35 Grn Reloads

Can't see the images. Says photobucket no longer supports 3rd party. Looked on their support site and it says this http://support.photobucket.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009597607-What-is-3rd-party-hosting- -
Put some wooden pallets down, I've done this before. They'll feel safe underneath there but you'll still be able to get a shot at them. Put a few down spaced apart, then if they scatter when you shoot one they'll bolt to another pallet where they'll feel safe. Don't always work like that but it'll increase your chances of shooting them.

I always keep 3 or 4 of the Napier pads in the cabinet. Got that VP90 stuff in them that stops rust and corrosion.http://www.napieruk.com/acatalog/Super-VP90-Corrosion-Inhibitor-VP90_.html http://www.napieruk.com/acatalog/Super-VP90-Corrosion-Inhibitor-VP90_.html Don't know if it's all BS but I've never had any problems while I've been using them.

Like you say, if it's new to them they don't touch it. This behaviour is called neophobia. I have put peanut butter mixed with olive oil out on the bird table and the rats will go straight to it. The Mrs puts such a varied amount of food scrapes on there that they don't take any notice of what it is. I did a rat job in the attic of a foody pub where I screwed down 6 Fenn traps with peanut butter on and they wouldn't touch it. Checked every day and nothing. Put a trail cam up there and the rats were coming up to the traps and even putting their noses a few millimetres away from the bait, give i

.22Lr Ammo, Eley Subs Or Winchester Subs ?
PLEDGEY replied to fox assasin's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Always used Winchester 40g but once did try Eleys as they were out of Winchester. They didn't seem and better or worse but I wouldn't get them again for 2 reasons. I didn't like the waxy feel of them and for me, don't know if any one else thinks this, they gave off a funny smell when you shot them. -
When it comes to an infestation near a residential premises I wouldn't try trapping, just bait them up and solve the problem A.S.A.P. The enamel on a rats teeth is harder than iron so they can do a lot of damage if they get in your house. Like ratattack said use Bromadialone or Difenacoum. Both are second generation poisons that can be purchased from Mole Valley Farmers or similar. I know you have solved the problem now but if you or others do use poisons in the future one thing a lot of people DON'T do is secure the poison in a box. When you get a professional bait box it has a copper bar ins

I have never used those Putangs, just the Duffus traps. After seeing that vid I can see they have their merits.

Every time I hear this track, I think of double decker chocolate bars..... (they must have come out at the same time??) NO DOUBLE ENTENDRES INTEDNED I was 13 when this came out. I remember recording it , with the rest of the top 40, off the radio with a cassette recorder. Ah, the good old days. Waiting for the DJ to STF up and then press play and REC at the same time. Tell kids today an' they'd think you were nuts :-)

If it doesn't pose any problems concerning moisture then I'd use it. The worst that can happen is it'll break because it's a cheap Chinese product or the 8mm hose will burst and scare the crap out of ya' :-)
-
I would be a bit worried if there was a cheap Chinese air reservoir on these compressors as 300BAR is a shit load of pressure but there isn't. They are only compressing straight into your bottle or your air/paint ball gun. The reason it cuts out quickly in the video is it's only filled the 8mm feed hose to the desired pressure then stopped. What moisture catchment have these things got?, I wouldn't want it pumping moisture in with the air.

I'm sure he was talking about adding a Section 1 shotgun to his FAC, in which case that's not correct. Or more likely I got the wrong end of the stick. Yep, I see it now. I was reading it different......if you know what I mean :-)
