Hi all, Been out over last week over my perms,50 acres barley surrounded by trees ,great flight lines.hardly any birds compared to last year .just been cut should be amazing ,but total rubbish ,I think to much food around this year compared to last year.hardly any birds committing to decoys etc. this time last year took over 500 birds off this land. Any thoughts.

Hi all, I,am off to Whitby end of may for a few days r&r ,wanting to do a bit of pier fishing not done any before can i use any of my coarse gear(ledger rod etc) for sea fishing .Not wanting to spend loads if i dont have to,any suggestions on rigs ,ledgering,float ,bait etc.happy to fish night or day if weather good.Also might do a short boat trip if any one can recommend a skipper many thanks chaps

Hi all, thinking of moving on to a barge,currently live in a house and have a shotgun cert,what are the restrictions if any about keeping guns on boat ,obviously security is the important factor .but my view is aslong as they are secured in there current cabinet and perhaps alarm the boat aswell ,carnt see what the problem will be.This will be my permanant residence,Any body have experience of this or are currently doing this any info would be greatly received. Obviously will be speaking to police but just toying with idea first.(pls no speculators)

update:the shoot is Waplington warren shoot ,nr Allerthorpe ,York, north yorks this is run by dan peacock and his father,also ive met two other people this wkd ,on another shoot who also have paid him for half a gun and are being ripped off aswell,i bet there,s more out there .pls leave any info if this is you.

just an update people,hav,nt heard from the shoot yet !!!either by phone or e mail .there is no keeper on the shoot as such ....run by a father and son iam lead to belive,and they run the shoot between them .and it is a walked up shoot not driven although this does,nt make any difference if you,ve paid £500 OR £5000 !!! AND AS FOR ME NOT GOING !!!for one i work for myself including weekends and hav family as most of us do ,so when i had,nt had proper confirmation ,apart from a shoot date 4 wks before by txt !!.I I went to work,there was no bloody way i was turning up under someone else,s nam

hi there ,just bought my first gundog pup !!!being reading the posts about cold game .....can anyone enlighten me about cold game !!does it mean literally cold ???if so why train a pup on cold birds as apposed to freshly shot game ?. thanks
