The apprentice system worked well when the company paid them, Its not up to the men in the gang to pay for their training, lets face it how many hangers on do you end up paying for. The CSCS cards are a joke why should i have to pay every 5yrs for a card when ive got my papers to prove i served my time. The health and safety test is a joke give me 5 minutes and i could train a chimp to pass it.

Im getting about 70 job offers a week from agencies ,old firms ect , £20 an hour daywork, or could make over a grand easy on price, HSE and greedy firms not taking on apprentices created this situation, now its biting them on the arse.
