  1. Cracking pictures there mate. Looks like a brilliant day out. On the hills is definitely my favourite type of hunting.
  2. Glad to see you back on here. Really enjoy reading your posts. Exciting times ahead too with your new pup. They should be just the job. Does the bull grey hunt up in the hills too?
  3. Must be the quality grub you are feeding her ?
  4. Happy days Sean. Will wait to hear
  5. Brilliant. Will be getting my lads out in a week or so. ATB
  6. Might be able to help out mate. I’m heading up to Newcastle in a week or so. If someone can get him across to Bristol I can take him North from there and arrange somewhere for you to collect him on route. Let me know ?
  7. Would like to have this cross or very similar for my next lurcher.
  8. Cheers DC. Like you say, not for everyone but for some people they would be just the job. Type of hunting I would like to get into when I have more time.
  9. Anyway.........back to the topic! I have thought about this type of cross for hunting in the hills but I think they are not that common. The dogs that DC bred look spot on. How would they be for all round lurcher work? Lamping etc. Wouldn’t question the stamina but what about speed? Would too much hound risk them giving a bit of voice?
  10. He’s a strong looking dog. What cross was the bitch he went across micheala?
  11. Looks a good day that. Good to see the pup coming on learning it’s trade. Rabbits are causing some damage there by the looks of things.
  12. Just donated Kev. Great to meet everyone and as said, a cracking venue. Shame I could only make it for one night. Thanks to all who made the weekend happen. Geth.
  13. Had a few mackerel in East Devon the other night. Caught plenty of scad though.
  14. That’s pretty much what I have got and he suits me. Have to admit I do really like a good bushing terrier though!
  15. Both cracking litters. Think the DH cross ones will be belters. Just the job for up the hills. ATB with them.
  16. They will be plenty fast enough around the warrens. Handy for hedge work too. Reckon you would be surprised how decent they would be on the lamp over the right ground ?
  17. The dog might add that extra bit of size and weight needed then.
  18. Be a nice size them. Good all rounders. ATB
  19. How tall is your bitch and the stud dog? Hope it all works out.
  20. Yeah I’m not little!
  21. I will be there. Will turn up Saturday morning give Kev a hand and stay the night for a few beers. Might have work on the Sunday so won’t be fishing. Will bring some stuff for the auction. Geth.
  22. Spent a lot of time in the lakes walking. Never hunted up there though. Should imagine it’s similar to where I hunt in Wales. A few things about in the lower ground but up higher it’s tough terrain and you rarely see much. As foxpack says, decent views! Think it’s my favourite type of hunting.
