  1. Great pics. Like the look of them. The ground you are on is similar the ground I will be hunting on.
  2. Yep another lad mentioned him. Will do a bit of digging and see how I get on. Cheers.
  3. Think there would be too much running dog in there TBH mate. DG/CG would probably suit but I’m going to keep my options open.
  4. Yep agree. I spent most my life on the hills but only got back into hunting a few years back.
  5. Cheers CJ. Like I say the lurcher has taken to it well. He has all the above and doesn’t seem to suffer with the cold too much. I have no doubt that what I will end up with will have collie in the mix. Good ones are hard to find. ATB.
  6. At the back end of last season I managed to get out on the hills in various locations. I mainly lamp, bush and try to fit in the odd bit of ferreting. I enjoy all types of work but have really taken to getting out on the hills. I see a lot less up there but really like seeing the dogs hunting and letting them range. The dogs have taken to it fairly well, especially my lurcher. He’s saluki collie grew. My busher enjoys it but won’t range too far. He’s young so will hopefully pick it up. Im probably looking at bringing on another lurcher pup next year so want to start doing my homework.
  7. Nice looking bitch and a lovely mix. Looks like she is getting to see plenty and is doing you proud. ATB
  8. PM sent mate. Might know someone interested. Cheers
  9. Pretty much what tyla said for my one. He will yap though if he is right onto something or if it won’t shift. Again for heavy cover he will use his nose and if he goes in then there’s normally something there. He also hits the cover hard. He’s not broken to deer though. Strangely not that interested in pheasants but I don’t ever go looking for them. He’s ideal for what I need him for
  10. Think it will be hard work in the inflatable. The flow in places was half decent. Think we were easily doing 6-8 mph but that’s with 2 in the boat paddling. A couple of places were a scrape so not sure how the inflatable would do.
  11. Yeah plenty of time. The water had dropped a bit when we left the final day. Have you hired canoes?
  12. As promised Tyla, just back from 2 days and 2 nights on the Wye. Brilliant little trip. We were a bit stuck for time so didn’t launch as high up as we wanted. We put in at Whitney bridge and paddled 10 miles or so to Byecross. Plenty of people fly fishing from the banks. All the fisherman were friendly and chatty. The river was at a good level so we were shifting along. We camped at Byecross farm, £7 each to camp. Showers, toilets and a 15 min walk to the pub. Second day we paddled to Lucksall campsite just below Mordiford. 20 miles ish. Brilliant campsite. Decent cafe and bar. Less that £10
  13. He’s got one on order from one of his mates. He’s going for a terrier.
  14. Sorry mate. Kev’s just booked any spare!!!!
  15. I don’t think you could put exact percentages on him. Lee Green off here bred him you could PM for exact info. Squab and squirrel off here have his litter sisters. They might know exact. He has various spaniels in him but mainly cocker. and bushing terries. Predominantly Lakeland/patt going back a while. I’m in Devon. Would need to chat more to see what you need and as I said he’s only coming up 2 so not keen at the moment. Would prefer another season under his belt and when I’m ready to keep a pup back.
  16. The owner and dog are now living abroad. He’s used more for beating etc. I have been out with him a few times last year.
  17. He has turned out well mate. There’s a few off here seen him work. He’s spot on with the bushing, ferrets well considering he’s only been a couple of times. Depends what you are looking for. He’s only young though. I would love to put him to a decent bushing terrier when the time is right as I would want a pup.
  18. Nice strong looking dogs. Pups should be belters. ATB with them.
  19. That’s a nice looking bitch ferret333. Looks like she is doing a good job for you too.
  20. Be nice strong dogs out of them. Hope she takes. Keep us updated. ?
  21. Cheers mate. We had a good trip. We can get up with your gang after the summer.
  22. It’s 62 year. It’s ideal for up there and the kids love it
