That’s what we did. Marine ply with eyelet bolts so the strings that normally go to the pegs can be secured. 2 man dome tent on top with a aluminium ladder tied off. Worked a treat. Pain in the arse to put up in strong winds.

How’s it bred mate? Is it first cross?

Remember doing a bit of sea cliff climbing in Cornwall in the late 90s. As we were climbing there were pigeons on some of the ledges. As we climbed up I reached up onto a ledge and a pigeon flew off. Out of nowhere there was huge bang like balloon being popped and I was covered in feathers. Mate below said as the pigeon left the cliff a peregrine came from nowhere and hit the pigeon. Off it went. Would have been awesome to have got that on film.

What's your experience with nail bed infections?
white van man replied to Luckee legs's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Agree mate. The book has come in handy for me and mates a few times. Haven’t seen any posts from her in a while. Shame really. -
Reckon you might be right!

I’ve got her book here mate. I know there’s def a paragraph on it. I’ll have a look in a mo. My dog used to suffer from it. Was always cleaning it out and treating it after lamping. It snapped off on day and never grew back right. Doesn’t seem to bother him though -
That’s my old mans dog. Long gone now. He was a labradoodle x giant schnauzer. We rescued him. He was brilliant at finding stuff

Had this old series 2 for years. Was handy for getting up onto the tops but mainly for shooting or daytime work. Paid £450 for it many years ago. Had a Ford Focus estate for years and it was a decent car for getting about the country with the dogs. Finally give in at 240 odd thousand miles.

Couple of days down the south hams. Had an early morning walk along the coastal path with the misses and my lad. Misses got herself a busher type a couple of years ago as a pet but she’s turning out to be a decent worker!! Also took my bitch to get some fitness work in. -
Kind offer. Many thanks mate. I don’t expect it for nothing. I’ll send you a PM.

I’ll second that Arry. Great weekend catching up with everyone. We are always made welcome at the venue. A decent amount of money raised for a local charity too. Thanks to the people who couldn’t make it but sent auction and raffle prizes down. My lad has already been out with his auction prize. Not what they were designed for but they are just the job. Cheers melb for donating.

Shall I grab a shed load of crackers? I don’t know the cracker to pate ratio for 1.2kg! I’m guessing a couple of boxes. Great looking knife that Bud. See you there later

I’ll get the red carpet ready

Had some things arrive from Dido this week. Couple of decent raffle prizes. Many thanks

Had a walk down the river tonight. My lad took this picture. Murphy getting old now at 9. Bit of grey creeping through on the muzzle and he’s started to slow up a bit.

Labrador X Greyhound First cross
white van man replied to Colliemack's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Lad off here bred some lab x Lurchers a couple of years back. They looked nice things. No reason why it shouldn’t work. A lot of people use 1/2 crosses of various types. If you get the right lab and a decent greyhound then I think they would make a decent worker. My mate has a dog that is 1/4 GWP x lab. Uses it for most things, beating, picking up,wildfowling. I’d take a chance if that went over a decent greyhound. -
Just thought I’d bump this one up. It’s handy to let the venue know rough numbers and to let Kev know how many he’s cooking for! Be good to see a few new faces.
