  1. Brilliant photos Fuji. That’s my type of adventure.
  2. Had a call early this morning from jai and within seconds a text from Owain. Like most I only knew him from the comps. My boy Oliver thought the world of him. He had a heart of gold and was a real character. A lovely man with a lovely family and nothing was too much trouble. He went out of his way to make sure all the kids at the comp had a good time. Generous, great craic and one hell of an auctioneer! He will be missed and I pass on my condolences to his family and close friends. RIP John. Geth and all the family ???????
  3. Let her carry on mate. Get a few pheasant wings for her to play with and get used to the scent and mouthing them. Get her to find them etc. Plenty of encouragement if she’s out on the ground looking for them and catching a few. Be careful you don’t end up with a spaniel though ?
  4. Can you add us please. Camping Saturday and Sunday night. Geth- not fishing Jacob - not fishing Oliver - fishing
  5. Some nice markings on them Ken. ?
  6. Yeah love to know what that was. Forgot all about that one. ?
  7. Been looking into it a bit. They reckon it’s a pod that is usually up in Scotland. I’m glad it’s bad weather down there at the moment or every man and his dog would be out in their powerboats trying to find them. Seen a few things whilst sea kayaking but never an orca.
  8. Get yourself a decent stove. You can get them with oven and 2 hobs. We use ours all the time. Cooked pasta, stew, fish. The last meal I cooked on it was sausage mash and veg for 5 people. Omelette for breakfast or even knock up a load of porridge. Army rations are handy but any food that can be sealed in a bag and have a 10 year shelf life ain’t for me anymore!!
  9. I know a few lads that have taken dogs on and they have suited them and they have had a great working life. Be interesting to know how many people who spout the usual ‘put a bullet in it’ would or have seen it through. Unless it was seriously injured or had attacked my kids, I couldn’t do it.
  10. She will do someone a good service. ?
  11. Was also reading up on some info with the bass. Everyone seems to know about not taking them when they are less than 42cm. They are also worried about people taking them when they are above the 60cm mark. Makes sense when you look at the info below.
  12. Same here. Waiting to dust the kayaks off. Will give it a couple of weeks yet and then head out.
  13. That looks like a brilliant day out
  14. Good stuff. Ready for a walk when you are ?
  15. Nice one FP. Enjoyed reading the posts you have put up of him over the years. Hope he enjoys his semi retirement!
  16. I’m in the same boat. My busher is spaniel terrier so doesn’t go far. My Lurchers range so I’m going to invest in a pair
  17. Like them. Do they range out at all?
  18. For edible game they would do you right. Mine lamp, bush, ferret and are not too bad at working the hills. I don’t think it’s down to the breed because I’ve seen a few types do the same type of work.
  19. All depends if you get on with saluki type dogs. Most things crossed with 3/4 greyhound should do ok on most things. Depends on the breeding and how you bring them on. Both my runners have saluki in them. My dog is 1/4 saluki x grew with about 1/8 collie. Bitch I’m not sure about percentages. Both totally different dogs to train and totally different out in the field. They do me though ?
  20. What the rabbits? Yeah was on your permission mate ?
  21. Are you after a pure terrier or happy with a bit of a mix?
