  1. New recruit. Sire is a sprocker dam is a JRT
  2. Looks a nice type that bodger. ATB with her. ?
  3. Nice fish them. Always fancied a bit of wild trout fishing. Up in the hills. Used to go as a kid and been doing some research the last couple of days ?
  4. Fair play to the lad. It’s harder to find a bitch to stud your dog to than find a stud dog for your bitch. Some are just happy to stud their dog out without seeing the bitch. If you are after a pup out of your dog then it’s a no brainer to see the bitch work. Especially If you know nothing about them. I’ve been asked a few times to stud my busher out. When I’ve asked to go see the bitch work and let them see my dog work, it seems to go quiet! ATB with finding a bitch.
  5. I’ve been out with all the dogs mentioned above. Something I will be looking at in a couple of years for me and my lad for a bit of knocking about. Some form of bushing/mooching dog with a decent splash of whippet. The good thing about these that suites going out with a catty is they don’t scream their heads off when onto something. I’ve got a spaniel terrier who is great for bushing to Lurchers on the ground I run. For a mooch and catty he’s too much. Crashes through everything and barks his head off when right behind everything. You wouldn’t get too many shots in
  6. Interesting cross. Are there similar ones you have that are out doing a bit? Be good to see some pics. I’d line something whippet based with something else in for my lad in a couple of years. ATB with them
  7. I was hoping to get a pup out of my busher but the bitch that we had lined up hasn’t come into season. Was gutted. Hope you find something lads.
  8. We don’t ferret so much anymore. Mainly bushing and lamping. The little busher is great around the nets and when ferreting hedges. Hopefully get out a bit more before the season closes
  9. Haven’t been out bolting to the dogs for a while. Went for a couple of hours this morning. My mate brought his ferrets. The busher bolted a few from cover and the ferrets bolted a few. Missed a few but not a bad little bag.
  10. Think I’ve heard you say that before ?
  11. One of the kids took it mate! i phone special.
  12. I’ll be looking at something heavily whippet based for my lad in a couple of years. Bit of ferreting and bushing. Something that can also tag along with me on the hill too.
  13. That’s mega. Hope they stick at it. Wait until they are pestering you to go lamping on a howling night and you’ve had the busiest day ever at work ? it’s brilliant when you get out with a young gang. Looks like a great day.
  14. Like the look of the sire to these pups. All the best with your pup. ?
  15. Are you heading out with them D? I normally go for a walk out on Dartmoor early doors Boxing Day and then go and see a local meet. Might try fit in the Monday too!
  16. I think for general mooching about something with a bit of whippet/spaniel/terrier in would be ideal. Something that will hit cover and have a chance at a run or 2. Definitely a type I’ll be looking at in a couple of years. I can’t fault my spaniel terrier but it’s a bit thick and fast when he’s hunting and when he’s onto something his bark is a bit loud for sneaking about. Bit of whippet in there to calm it down a bit! Something what Tyla has would be perfect.
  17. No where near enough to be honest. Few trips on the moor. Hardly any lamping. Heading off for a week away as of Sunday so get a bit done then ?
  18. She’s never mixed her words. I can’t fault her. keep the write ups coming ?
  19. I bet if the both of you had to do it all again you wouldn’t change a thing. Looks like he has had a good life and done you proud. Wise words from your friend. I once carried my dog into the vets and someone commented on the extent of his injury and called me irresponsible. Vet turned to them and said “this dog does what he’s bred to do and has a great life doing it…..what’s irresponsible is having an overweight Labrador like yours that’s never walked off the lead ?.
