Yes, so did I, but the "non-ped" whippets aren't " pure " as most have some greyhound in them. So a non-ped whippet x greyhound shouldn't be called an "F1", but they would certainly be "grews". But that's just my opinion. Cheers.

There are plenty top class, extremely fast non-ped "whippets", bred from top non-ped whippets x greyhound. Im not sure if they could be called "f 1" as the sires will most likely have some greyhound in their make up, so possibly will be slightly more greyhound than whippet. Perhaps this is the type of stud dog you're after ? Cheers.

It was easy tracing her lineage way, way, back using The Deerhound Archive and the Greyhound Stud book and Greyhound Data. We went from steam power to petrol power to nuclear power in around 150 years, a blink of the eye in the grand scheme of things. We went from a canvas and wood airplane flying less than 100 yards, to putting men on the moon, and bringing them back safely, in about 70 years, again, an instant in the grand scheme of things ! Don't the pedigree whippet racing club DNA test any whippet suspected of having greyhound blood in it ? Ive no faith in dog DNA testing as different company's have different methods. Some have a data base of around 300 "breeds", but whose to say what was actually in the "breeds" that tested. Cheers.

There's plenty breeds around the world still doing what they were bred for, including the Polish Chartpolski, Russian Borzoi, Indian Rampur and Caravan hounds, to name a few..........but they are as rare as Ricky horse shite, so finding a genuine one as a base for lurcher breeding is nigh on impossible! Best stick to the tried and tested Greyhound, methinks ! Cheers.

I used to work in North Sheilds almost 50 years ago, and it was a thriving fishing port with a big fleet and fish market. I went there last week to buy fresh seafood......the market was closed and there was only a handful of boats. Shops that were fish merchants or ships chandlers are now trendy restaurants and bars. Saudi nationals have free healthcare, free schooling, house building grants, there was no taxes whatsoever, until recently when 5% vat was imposed on certain items. Food, fuel, electricity and water are subsidised. BUT, it's certainly not a "free" country ! I lived in Saudi for many years, and saw real punishments, in real time ! Heads chopped off for murder, rape, paedophilia, drug smuggling, and the quaint old offence of "poisoning a well" ! Hand chopped of for theft, hand AND foot for certain offences. Anything from caning to crucifiction depending on the crime. While I can empathise with what you are saying about people moaning but not actually DOING anything, how do they get to have a meaningful input ? To become a lawmaker like an MP or Councillor, it's almost impossible to get elected as an independent, the main parties have that sewn up, and without their backing you'll get nowhere ! To become a judge you need to be part of the "Establishment ", and again, need the patronage of one of the main political parties. Slavery wasn't abolished in Saudi Arabia and Yeman until 1962, when Britain threatened to block their joining of the United Nations. It wasn't abolished in Oman, (another sphere of British influence), until 1970. I've met many black Saudis who will tell you their parents and grandparents were slaves, or they were the product of Saudi owner/slave unions.
