  1. “In the year 2525” Zager and Evans. Cheers.
  2. It might be whoever created the earth coming to tell us it hasn’t worked and they are starting again from scratch….. Cheers.
  3. What’s that got to do with it ? I wasn’t quoting anyone, just making an observation. Evidently they lent Sir John Hall the money to build it and when it was sold they kept a 10% share. Cheers
  4. C of E owns a 10% stake in the Metro Centre . Cheers.
  5. They’ll be wanting to come into Working Mens Clubs next !!!! Cheers.
  6. A disaster mate, a fucken disaster ! I said to Harald “look at that dozy f****r with the bow and arrow; he’ll have some c**ts eye out if he’s not careful “ but would anyone listen ? Would they f**k !!! Cheers.
  7. “Yesterday’s enemies are todays friends” ! Remember when the Germans and the Japs were our enemies? Now they are our friends……..supposedly. Real Politik…… Cheers.
  8. My daughter was engaged to an American marine gunnery sergeant who was in the embassy marine guard detachment in Saudi, and she spent some time in Camp Lejuenne in Carolina. I had many a great night with them in their Brass Eagle Bar at the Embassy, and found them great company and extremely polite and professional, but like all military had that humour that’s particular to the forces. They made me an honorary member and I got the T shirt; All I all, a great bunch of men I’d have back me up any time Cheers.
  9. Have a glass or two of that rough Spanish brandy Mush Might not bring your blood pressure down, but it’ll take your mind off things Salud .
  10. You wouldn’t be deported, Gunt; you’d be on your knees in “chop square “ with a big Arab with a sword standing over you Cheers.
  11. Last three times it’s happened to me, on different cars, it’s been the pick up ring cracked, not the sensor. Cheers.
  12. There are some people who should be locked up for their stupidity as much as their criminality…… Cheers.
  13. I’ve tried to pm you but you can’t receive PM’s. Cheers.
  14. Thanks for the reply. It sounds a lot for a collar, but taking into consideration the excellent work , the time to make and the cost of the materials it probably isn’t. Cheers.
  15. The 100 year old veteran who was interviewed on tv the other day and said it wasn’t worth fighting in the war when he sees the state of the country now, struck a cord with me; he was in the Royal Navy and served on the Russian Arctic convoys. My dad would be about the same age and was also in the RN and served on the Russian convoys, and used to say exactly the same thing. Who knows, they may even have served together. Cheers.
  16. I think it’s particularly apt today of all days to mention the millions of young men who gave up their freedom, gave up seeing their families and in many cases, gave up their lives , to volunteer to fight for their countries and came back, not to a “country fit for heroes, but to a country that was indifferent to them. Spending a year or two in a “soft” prison for a white collar crime, and coming out and still having access to your ill gotten gains seems a good deal in comparison…. Cheers.
  17. My permission; Hope I’m not giving too much away Cheers.
  18. I had this bitch in the early 70’s. The manager of my local pub delighted in teaching her the party trick where he would call her to get her crisps. She would jump over the bar and get a bag of crisps out of a box, jump back over the bar and open and eat the crisps. One day he called her but she thought it was much easier to jump over a table and snatch a sandwich out of a customers hand ! He stopped the party tricks from then…. Cheers.
  19. My missus has been known to spoil the dogs when I’m not around ….. Cheers.
  20. My wife and daughter saw it in a pet shop window in Australia on Xmas eve and said if it was still there after the holidays they would buy it. Missus paid A$1,000 for it, and when my daughter came back to the UK she brought it, and a miniature Manchester Terrier back with her, and I ended up with them . Wouldn’t have been my choice of dog, but it doesn’t take up much room Cheers.
  21. Enjoy the day and give my best wishes to your daughter Cheers.
  22. The wife’s 17 year old chihuahua lives the house, but he was kennelled with the lurchers until he was 15; The working dogs are kennelled and never get in the house, but I do allow them in the man cave now and again; Cheers.
  23. Not like you to beat about the bush mate ; speak your mind, you’re amongst friends on here Cheers.
