  1. Many years ago I got a job with Lockheed Aircraft, overseas. I had to go to a London clinic for a full medical, blood tests, a load of vacs, and a dental check and had a filling before I was declared fit to travel. To be honest, I didn't have a clue what vax I was given, I just knew if I wanted the job, it was something I had to do. My choice, but the lure of money and adventure overcomes most things when your young ! Im older and, I hope, wiser now, so I'd probably ask what they were injecting me with ! Cheers.
  2. Thanks for the reply. Can you opt out of any of them on, say, religious or ethical grounds ? Cheers.
  3. I don't know the answer and I'm not trying to prove any point. I was asking a genuine question of Ken, not you. I was wondering if he had an aversion to all vaccines, or just this particular one. Cheers.
  4. Ken, as I've said many times, I'm neither for or against the vaccine, I just don't know enough about it. A genuine question; when you were in the military, did you refuse any of the jabs you had to take ? Cheers.
  5. In our adversarial political system, the status quo is to refute and attack the views of the other side, even when you know they are right. So, isn't it even a little bit encouraging that Farage is agreeing with someone who is on the opposite end of the political spectrum when he thinks they are right ? I'll add a caveat, though; if Blair said it was raining, I'd still look out the widow to make sure he wasn't lying !! Cheers.
  6. I don't think he was endorsing Blair unconditionally, he was agreeing with something Blair seems to have got right for once ! After all, even a broken clock is right twice a day ! ? ! Cheers.
  7. Now that his raison d'etre has gone, Farage is casting about for a worthy cause to champion, so as to stay relevant. But he needs to be careful who's company he keeps.......especially that slippery b*****d Blair ! Cheers.
  8. Is pest control not exempt, mate ? Cheers.
  9. Anything I can't get in a shop is available on line, so I don't feel the need to panic. Cheers.
  10. Yeah, I wasn't sure, but there's a one very near me, and I needed a 2 gang dimmer switch, so called in, no drama. Cheers.
  11. I don't think it will make much difference to me. Ive been to B&Q, Asda and Aldi today, and I think they will all still be open tomorrow. Going to the feed merchants tomorrow, that'll be open. Petrol stations will still be open. So, really no change for me. Cheers.
  12. This one was living in an urban graveyard; Cheers.
  13. As far as I'm aware, no one is being forced to have the vaccine. Most people don't die of 'flu, yet they still have the vaccine every year. Im just playing Devils Advocate, as I don't have the 'flu vax and I'm pretty ambilivent about the Covid vax. Cheers.
  14. It would be interesting to hear people's honest opinions of why they won't have the vaccine. The reasons seem to cover the whole spectrum from the tin foil hat brigade, who think it will alter their DNA or inject a tracking device, or control their minds..........to the perfectly reasonable, (in my mind anyway), that they would like to have more information or see results before taking the vaccine. I probably fall in the latter, but if I HAVE to have it so I can travel, I probably would. Cheers.
  15. "There was a lot of bloodshed at the Nell Gwynne Tea Rooms last night",......... Cheers.
  16. Unless you are using the term "woman of colour" tongue in cheek, you are aiding the woke b*****ds by using their PC terminology. Just call her a black woman, like most people would. Cheers.
  17. Corbyns brother is 73, and the old c**t has been arrested TWICE this year already !!! Cheers.
  18. The Norwegian government is already complaining that their deal with the EU is not as good as the UK's deal. Of course it's not.....they still have to pay into the EU ! Cheers.
  19. Who have a free trade agreement with Canada and Mexico.... Cheers.
  20. NAFTA is the North American version of what the EU should be. A free trade agreement, but no customs union, no monetary union, no freedom of movement, no giving up sovereignty. Can you imagine the Americans letting the Mexicans set their monetary policy, or letting the Canadians over rule the American Supreme Court ? Of course not, it's just a free trade agreement that suits all three. Theres other such agreements around the world that work, i think the UK is attempting to join the Trans Pacific free trade group ! A huge group that has free trade, but no loss of sovereignty, an
  21. That's what they would like us to think now, but it was originally the European Coal And Steel Community, simply a trade agreement to stop them undercutting each other. With each new treaty came more members and more trade agreements, eventually leading to the single market, customs union, schengen agreement and the euro and European Central Bank. It was all about trade, if it had anything to do with wars, why did Degaul veto the U.K. from joining, twice ? After all the UK was one of the victors in ww2, and still one of the most powerful nations on the earth, who better to guarantee
  22. I can only make a judgement on what I see, hear and read, of course they ALL allow their own beliefs to impinge on an interview, some far more than others. So, in my opinion, ( and I respect everyone's right to an opinion), Neil is far and away the best political interviewer. Cheers.
  23. Paxmans ego limits him as a political interviewer. Marr is a closet communist. Neil is the only political interviewer to hold politicians feet to the fire regardless of their allegiance. Cheers.
  24. I've just said to my missus " I wish Andrew Neil's GB News would hurry up and get on line", maybe, just maybe, we will then get a news channel that gives a balanced reporting of the news. Sky News has just said " ferry and tunnel traffic to France are going smoothly and as normal......BUT sources have said this may just be the calm before the storm" WTF ? Are they NEVER going to accept the fact they were wrong, and Brexit ISN'T the disaster they hoped for ? Cheers.
  25. Now, let's make it clear, I'm not an "anti-vaxxer", and I don't believe it's all a conspiracy., BUT the government don't make it easy for themselves, I've just watched a report on sky news where the NHS has advised against a government proposition that they use a mix of the various vaccines in the two shots you are supposed to have. The NHS say this in not advisable as, and I quote , " THEY MAY NOT KNOW WHAT VACCINE YOUVE BEEN GIVEN" !!!! Surely it's very easy to log on your medical records what vaccine you've had ???? A conspiracy theorists dream come true ! Che
