I remember a post, I think by Baws, many years ago, where he started an imaginary story, and we all added to it. A road trip , I think it was. Great fun, and no nonsense. Cheers. -
It's a bitch, she was nine year old then, I retired her at ten. Shes got a good nose for a first cross. Cheers.

A few moody mountain pics of a magnificent mountain stag hound ! LOL ! See it; Slip it, Catch it, And move on, Cheers.

I know a lad that used to lamp golf courses......he had two dogs break their legs in the same sand bunker ! Youd have thought he would have learned after the first one, but some people never learn......... Cheers.

I'm certainly not a terrier man, only ever had one red fell terrier in my life. But I do like bedlington in a lurcher, but it's getting hard, if not impossible, to find genuine working bedlingtons now. Just to comment on your Beddy blood in lakies , many years ago, I used to bump into an old hound man from Cumbria, and he told me they often brought their terriers over to Northumberland to add some bedlington blood, "to put a bit of fire back in" ! I doubt that happens now. Cheers.

I prefer to HODL cash, gold, silver, etc ! LOL ! Cheers.

Bitcoin sounds like a modern day "South Sea Bubble" ; Huge share prices for no tangible assets. That one ended in suicides and bankruptcies with only the very rich who set it up gaining. Cheers.

During Desert Storm, there was a squadron of B52s based at Jeddah airport in Saudi, and another squadron based in Diego Garcia that refuelled in Jeddah. I never tired of watching them land with their drogue deployed, or taking off at full power with a full load heading for Iraq. Amazing aircraft for 60 years old ! Cheers.

They've come to a "compromise", they will play the music.......but not sing the words !!!! Thing is, the conductor and opera singer who objected to Rule Brittania, Jerusalem and Land Of Hope And Glory are, a white Finnish woman and a black South African ! Have we no Brits who could do the jobs ? Shit weasels, the lot of them. Cheers.

Part three is on tonight, I'll give it a swerve. I tend not to judge without evidence, but going on experience, sequells are normally disappointing. Cheers.

Watched "Rise of the foot soldier" last night, good film. Straight after, watched part 2.... utter shite ! Cheers

"Devoid of wildlife " ???? Hmmm. When I was invited to a four day trip to the Cairngorms grouse moors , I was amazed at the diversity of wildlife; rabbits, brown hares, white hares , fox, grouse, ( obviously), black grouse, roe deer, red deer, even reindeer ! Buzzards and I was fortunate to see at least two golden eagles ! Hardly devoid of wildlife !! Cheers.

The Koran....... Cheers.

It seems like the Singapore Group that have supposedly bid for Newcastle aren't exactly what they claim to be ! Their headquarters have been traced to some rented office space above a Chinese restaurant in Singapore; Theres no proof of their "23,000 employees" or their " £12 billion turnover" either ! Is it some sort of elaborate scam, publicity or hoping to boost their share price ? Who knows, but it doesn't look kosher ! Cheers.

Windy, wet, cloudy, but still a bit warm for me just now. Cheers.

An old BSA Meteor in .22 does just fine for me; Cheers.

Need to be quick grab a bargain

What do people mean by "bitzas" ? Yeah, of course I know, but I just put down a 15 year old bitch which could be called a "bitza" but she was purposely bred; Beddy/grey x deer/grey-whippet/grey. She could take a day time hare, but couldn't be called a hare dog. She could take a roe, but wasn't a deer dog. She couldn't be called an "all rounder" as she would kill a ferret as soon as look at it. She killed a few foxes, but wasn't a fox dog, but, boy, did I have some great days and nights with her ! Bitzas, half crosses, lurchers, whatever.....if your happy with them, who cares ? Cheers -
What was wrong with being an independent, trading , island nation, like we were in the past ? Cheers.

Need to be quick grab a bargain
chartpolski replied to nothernlite's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I guess it's down to personal preference; I don't need a coursing dog that does 5 from 5, or a dog that's a demon around the nets ! Ive had running dogs for well over 50 years......pures, first crosses, lurcher x lurcher, good and bad, all sorts. Some I'll never forget, some better forgotten ! LOL ! It all depends on what you do, what you want, and even what's pleasing to the eye ! These days, because of age and the law, I just need something that fills a pot, something I can take a hare or two or a roe with, and be on and off before it comes on top ! But most of all, so -
Definitely from feeding the birds ! My neighbour had bird feeders and tables until the bowlers started to arrive ! I did warn them ! Ive two big allotments with hens and ducks, and I'm fighting a losing battle with the rats ! Poison, traps and shooting doesn't make inroads as long as the buggers have food to go at, so it's a bit of sport for me and the dogs trying to keep them in check ! Cheers.

A cheap springer air rifle and have a bit sport ! Cheers.
