  1. Longest is Sako, then Sirocco and the short is SAK. They are all good! My opinion of sound reduction performance is Sako first, SAK wins for me overall just the same, but you said long and thin, the SAKO then.
  2. I would tend to agree with release dates, we may well be the poor relations but I don't see why release dates for the UK commonly drift back so far, sometimes years! The yanks may well think they are the most important, but where guns are concerned most manufacturers agree with them, and want to keep the US happy!
  3. I get the impression the majority of people think they have the best gun in the world, will hear nothing bad about it, and slate all other makes, humane nature I guess. Some strong views out there no doubt and the obvious makes likely to surface I would guess. Could well be interesting just the same!

57 in 2 hours is some going anywhere! I will commonly get good numbers the first time on any site, but they steadily decline on subsequent service visits!
  5. Looks ok! I have used/made the very occasional hide, and of course regularly seek some cover if it is available (usually to protect me from the elements). I have never found an overwhelming need just the same, but everyone's situation is different and if they work for some then great!
  6. One reason that history has proved more than once, we are the poor relations in the UK and near the bottom of the pile. Someone mentioned it above, bigger markets are catered for before us, simple as, if there are any left after that we may see some!
  7. They have been on about the arrival of the 17WSM for several years, they are like rocking horse doings in the UK, and a LEFTY in the New Tikka rimfire is likely to be months behind the right hand, and that may well be years off yet if historical Tikka form is anything to go by!
  8. I wish you luck but this is all to often the case. Release/import dates are commonly grossly optimistic or simply lies!
  9. The CB625 is a cracking bit of kit for the money but it can be a bit fiddly/temperamental. I am very pleased with mine just the same, but sounds like yours may have an issue, I seem to remember they offer a repair if required!
  10. As Above, you will tend to find Dive shops commonly fill your Dive Bottle whilst in a bath of cold water to get the air in quicker and to full pressure!
  11. No doubt I'm just old, but I still like cash! One of my locals introduced card ONLY payment a couple of months back, they will not take cash anymore, seems very odd to me buying a pint with a card, but that's where we seem to be heading!
  12. It was indeed a remarkable achievement and despite the daily reports we got in the media, I rather think it was a lot closer at times than we were led to believe!
  13. It did look a bit more than a tidy up, seems a fair job!
  14. Would I be right in thinking that was removal and start again, or was it simply a serious repair job!?
  15. I know its compact, but why does that rifle look like so small in front of the motor? Edited, something still looks strange!
  16. I've only got a few of these (full chain) but I would say Id be much happier with the flexibility the longer chain offers!
  17. Obviously check out as many avenues as possible but there are lots of bottles out there. Work out what you want/need then look about, as long as its in test it should be ok, but beware, there is always someone out there trying to scam you!
  18. Ripley were always a bit original/different and created a name for themselves (sort of the Purdey of rifles), if you want one then why not, but (just like Purdey) don't expect any better performance than some other makes can achieve.
  19. Not in the crazy world (Country) we live in today, that would be banned on cruelty grounds, not enough knockdown and not enough salt to kill, only injure!
  20. That final pic is a pretty impressive 8 shot group!
  21. We've all had blank days, just one of those things, and I had a similar experience to your horses, but mine was with a bull!
  22. I take the view that I buy a gun that I want/need to start with (or as close as I can possibly get). I don't buy a gun and then throw chunks of it away and replace them! Guns are tools to me, in some cases I find them aesthetically pleasing, but any changes I "may" make to any gun are designed to enhance its PERFORMANCE and not make it look pretty! (sometimes it may be possible to improve aesthetics and performance simultaneously) Nothing wrong with enhancing a gun any way the individual wants if it makes them happy, but I personally don't understand aesthetic improvements that brin
  23. Each to there own and I'm sure there is no right/wrong answer, but I would have suggested the thin one with the cap as well!
