    I used Velocitors, they were pretty quick and hit quite hard, but a bit tight to chamber generally. I also found the Remington Yellow Jacket HP pretty good, they were a bit faster but lighter!

    I have no idea how Diane Abbott ever got elected and hold a position, perhaps it is something to do with her session with Jeremy Corbyn a while back.

    I think its all but impossible to find a deer without ticks (certainly round my way), but that is bad!

    Some people don't like the HMR, such is life, I do, despite all the issues the ammo has thrown up I think it is a cracking piece of kit. I run .22lr, HMR and WMR in rimfires, and the nature of what I do means I have a good use for each!

    I took some out of a house loft space a couple of weeks back, a hint bigger than yours, had to be done, no sentiment in Pest Control!

    Historically it was simply to cover various calibres with one moderator, to allow for poor engineering work threading barrels and dodgy crowns and poor pellets! I see no reason today why they should not be more calibre specific, except money of course!

    ANY bullet drop is fairly readily calculable, it is the wind drift that is more of an issue, and a .22lr is worse than a HMR in the wind. I use .22lr at Bisley at 200 yards, on a good day about half the shots will be V-Bulls, as soon as there is a hint of wind its time to quit! A .308 has more than enough energy to kill a squirrel at 3.5 MILES, that's about as sensible as a .22lr at 500 yards! .22LR isn't a long range calibre in any ammo format, that's why we use other calibres as the distances increase.

    Ok, I go along with pretty much everything above on the Wildcat, but I'm still struggling to find anything much smaller; as good or better, and then of course there is the price, how much are you prepared to pay for fractions. At the moment I still run the Wildcats on all my centrefires, .223, .243 and .308 but mine are all the COMPACT version and go some way to address the size and weight issues. I have posted this pic a few times when this question arises, but maybe helpful. The tube near the top right is the full length tube and gives some idea how much shorter the Compact version

    No, it isn't ALL geese! In England the Canada Goose has virtually taken over many inland areas to the detriment and loss of many more local indigenous geese/ducks. Farms, stables, Golf courses etc etc suffer damage/crop loss/and of course the health issues, I'm sure it can't be right but more seems to come out of the back end of a Canada than goes in the front end.

    Mixxy is not pleasant, no argument! But its been around 60 + years now and will be for a long while yet, so nothing new here, can't remember a year I don't see it somewhere. How about a word with the Animal rights idiots who let the Mink free in the UK, the numb nuts who thought it would be nice to have Canada Goose on their pond and the twats who deliberately introduced the Grey squirrel, etc etc etc etc etc Our wild Boar population is growing largely down to escapees/released animals as has the deer varieties...wait for the Wolves to escape/be released! It's about time we stop

    Personally NEVER! I always clean the barrel properly after every use. Hornets nest this one, others will tell you they never clean a barrel, perhaps that's why I buy NEW guns, I would never want to risk buying one of theirs! Such is life.
