  1. I used to sell a few to restaurants but the "fashion" seems to have passed a bit round my way.
  2. So..is it worth me putting a note in the diary for next year?
  3. Is the thread going as well, looks like it but that may just be debris! Whatever, it can all be fixed, although I'm not a fan of the home brew methods. If you have access to a good lathe and someone who knows what they are doing (the gunsmith you have found) the crown can be fixed in no time!
  4. Ok, I rarely have stoats to deal with, and maybe others who do have more of an insight, but personally I believe this is once again the nanny state being dumb! We are regulated already about what we can use so how come its taken so long to decide these don't work!?
  5. I have to say that my experiences suggest they keep their heads down when it gets too hot, same with rabbits! A bit of heat yes, but not too much!
  6. Sorry, no doubt taking this off topic, I accept the DSC serves a purpose, but it isn't/shouldn't be the norm/required, which is where it seems to be going. Put it like this, who would you rather go Stalking with, the Gamekeeper, whos father, grandfather, great grandfather etc etc have been gamekeepers forever but no DSC, or the accountant who decided he wanted to shoot deer so he did a DSC???? Put another way, I am a deer mentor and have been for Wilts, Thames Valley and the Met, I am also on TVPolice HAD team, but I don't have a DSC so I can't shoot on FC land, a complete joke!
  7. Crumbs, that's a bit different to socks and handkerchiefs!
  8. Is it just round my way, the problem round here is getting them in range!
  9. Is it still good and flexible?
  10. As already said, if nobody else has rights over the land take it down and leave a note.
  11. All my rifles are Lite and that works for me, but as someone else mentioned balance is also very important.
  12. Never been, although I hear its ok, but don't us southerners need a Passport to get into Yorkshire?
  13. It's not always about numbers, the outdoors and countryside have a lot to offer!
  14. Whoever....... I have never had better than limited success trapping rabbits, any tips appreciated!
  15. Cheers, some interesting/useful ideas!
  16. Fair enough, so how do those bullets hold up, certainly cheap, and I was looking at 17brass, rather than having to resize .22...does that actually work ok?
  17. I run a 232 12L for my FAC Falcon, it does for me but there are times a higher pressure smaller bottle seems better. For a normal 12 ft lb rifle a 232 12L will be more than adequate for most people, but if you are a high user you may want to consider something else!

  19. Do you seriously think I didn't work the paint, it is essential to work the paint on this type of door, however much you apply, due to the depth of the grain, or the finish will be appalling. If I was a bad tradesman do you think I would give a toss about the finish? I have always brushed this type of door and the result has been brilliant but time consuming, on the basis I now have a whole house full of doors to do I decided to try the roller and brush method for speed of application. I just want a roller that does what it says, having to rub the doors down to get rid of the hairs
