  1. I would loose the cap, but I would have gone with the thinner one.
  2. I remember telling you late last year thermal was the way forward jimmy, you wouldn't have it. BUT, they ain't the b all and end all, they suffer in certain conditions as well, like a wet drizzle night they can be totally blind. i don't think impact is the swinger, it's the .25, I love all of mine, I have two in .25 that both perform outstanding work.
  3. Got the job then, welcome dinner of roast squirrel and rabbit pie
  4. I've had great results using them, a few yr back I cleared a farm up, we had eighty traps out, was getting anything from 30-65 a day ! we trialled lots of bait and placements, I found 20 yards from the hedge/ditch seemed favourite, and cabbage was by far the best bait.,
  5. The Black and Tan one is lovely, just the job, good healthy looking litter that. ps, if it's available........
  6. I don't think the bed looks small, I would say it's about the right proportion. whats the overall size ?
  7. Check you out, mortise and tennon joints on the ferret hutch, very impressive and properly made
  8. So it seems like I'm not on my own then. I've had many a good chuckle at folk getting a belt off my fence, bit of karma last night I believe.
  9. This should make a few of you twisted buggers laugh, it did us. yesterday I moved one of my chicken sheds, and as always is the case we saw about a dozen rats. As always, I went out as soon as it got dark, the rats are always wandering around not too sure what's happened, and I bag up. so, I had been around one side of the pen, only one rat, sat broadside on at 17 yds, no match for the jsb it rolled over in submission. Walked the bottom fence and saw two more, knocked one down with ease, and the second one scurried off up the hedge line in the direction I was heading.
  10. Am sure there is a lot more to it than that, feeding, handling, cleaning and general care, I adore all rids of prey, as much as I would love one or a pair, I wouldn't know where to start. Out of interest, do you not fly them if they are a breeding pair then.
  11. I've got the swallows back in my barn that come every year, one is sitting tight on eggs. Not seen no where near the amount of swifts we usually get though.
  12. Blimey, I would love a crack at that, just feel like I don't know enough about it all.
  13. You must of had the stupid Mmc system, total crap, I've got the se and so much better.
  14. Well I'd never have believed it, them rabbits got some balls. I thought it would be a regular thing what with snakes looking to get out the heat.
  15. Just a question SB, but do you not get snakes in your burrows, how do the ferrets cope with them if so.
  16. Good shooting, I do rate the ultra, nice little budget rifle that shoot as well as top end guns.
  17. Does Bigfoot sh*t in the woods ?
  18. Sorry to hear your woes, hope it gets better soon, if you run short of food just say.
  19. It sounds like another way to give everyone a number, although I guess those that want to live off the radar won't be spending more than 10k in one transaction anyways.
  20. DO NOT DENY OR CONFIRM ANYTHING, no comment to everything, do not engage in small talk, NO COMMENT. After this, IF they have any evidence, regardless how flimsy, they must by law produce it, its known as disclosure, you can then prepare your defence accordingly. It will not go against you saying no comment in the first instance, however anything you say can and will be used in court against you, You can change your tactics once you know what your up against, but cannot fight an invisible enemy, put them on the back foot to disclose.
  21. Good bag, but bummer loosing a mag. i had a lad come shooting, he lost a full tin of pellets, it was short grass, we looked for days but do you think we could find them, they turned up a year later looking slightly worse for wear, but inside the pellets were fine and still useable.

    Snake

You did have a lucky miss, especially if you was parting the grass looking for it. Unless the dogs are willy critters, I would be keeping them away from the area, now Is the worst time to be bitten, and where there is one............
  23. That is o hell of a trip to get to a dealer, fair play to you. well done on the pair, those quads are bloody good ain't they.

    Snake

Sounds like an adder, but they not usually that big, I once caught a big one as a kid, didn't know what it was till me gramps made me drop it and chopped its head off with a spade, had carried it over a mile home as it was the prettiest snake I had ever seen ? They are not deadly to humans, usually !!! But well easy kill a dog.
