  2. Yeah you ain't wrong mate, Devon, Dorset, cornwall, I love all that area, try and get down as much as I can.
  3. Looking good, put something over the ends of the cane so they don't rip the net
  4. Am down next week for a few days, meeting and staying with some friends and doing some fishing this time. But I come down numerous times a year, as often as work will allow really mate. need to find a regular place to be able to book that allows dogs. yes Devon is also a nice spot, anywhere down that direction suits me provided some sea fishing to be had.
  5. I travel down to Cornwall a few times a year for short breaks/fishing etc, the cottage I have used for the last 9 yrs has been sold off and no longer available, so looking for a half decent place to rent for short breaks, don't care how remote it is, prefer that to towns, must be able to take my dogs, any of you local guys know anything ?
  6. There is an art to doing fibreglass properly, I know as I do a lot of it, I build/repair boats for a hobby. however, it's easy to learn once you know what's needed and what it should/shouldn't look like as your laying up.
  7. You got too much time on your hands if you can work that clean. fancy a job ? looks good, enjoy the cider and grub.
  8. Good man, sometimes it takes things like that to improve our sport.
  9. I've never met the fella but I had a feeling about him for a long time, am pleased you reported the meeting bud, confirmed what I felt about him.
  10. I had two eu polecats and they both got banged, nasty bloody things, different characteristics to any ferret I've ever owned, as before, I have tamed many nasty ferrets, and thought I could do the same with these, tried for two yrs until I gave up on them. I think you will struggle to get any proof anything is pure Eu polecat, the blood tests are not even 100% conclusive, but at the money your talking you should get some offers ?
  11. No such luck as a bounty here, but here's hoping, they are treated as a pest, and equally loved by just as many, they are survivors, and as long as some see them as cute and fluffy, they will do just fine.
  12. Good choice from what I can gather, they are marmite guns, but all the ones I know of in fac are on the money, think it was the sub 12 that seemed to be a problem, although it does sound like yours needs a fettle of some sort, you will get there I'm sure. ps, Liam at airfective is bang on with his work, top guy to deal with. ENJOY.
  13. Well said, I've seen some stuff that opened my eyes since having thermal, it's another tool in the box but it certainly isn't a magic wand.
  14. If that was my fence I would burn it down, disgusting doesn't even begin to describe that
  15. Don't spray directly onto the gun, the amount of pcps I've seen dripping with oil inside as the owner has used an aerosol, spray it onto a cloth first.
  16. It really is sickening been greeted by that sight, I know plenty who have had it happen as well. I know the reason behind it, I don't take it personally, but I am aware enough it's natural behaviour when a fox gets in to be like that, so my stance is, make it as difficult as I can for them to get in, and keep their numbers down. like you I am also ruthless on fox control, I use thermal, night vision, camera traps, rifles, fox traps, but I don't personally use dogs, I need to do this, I have birds on my place all yr round, it's the farms main income. I am between a rock an
  17. That's the biggest load of bollox yet, you try walking out to your pens in the morning and seeing 63 dead birds cos a fox got in and took one or two, but killed the whole pen and left them lying there. ive always said, if a fox got in, killed one or two and ate them because it was hungry, that's just part of the food chain and I would live with it, but they simply don't, they kill for fun and will wipe them out, so I feel the same about foxes

  20. Yeah not far from there at all, will see if I can message you.
  21. Stick it in the freezer overnight, it's supposed to wipe the code out, so I've been told..........
  22. I've never really paid much for kits, they always come from working stock and folks I know, and who know I will look after them and work them, I think the most I ever paid was a tenner each of a guy I didn't know very well at the time. i have had some that were priceless and I wouldn't take a few grand for, they are with me till they die, that's how it's always been for me, and how it will always be. I think they are always undervalued, I've had Jill's that have put thousands in the bag, earnt me a living at times, how can I value one of them, priceless is the answer, but if I have s
  23. Look in your book, mine has a sticker with the code
