Yeah we had a bad spate of those bloody horse flies, orrible things and they do like to bite. we have had a bumper year for insects, frogs, toads, newts, swallows, bats, dragon flies, we even found two small grass snakes by the back door a couple weeks back, first time I've ever seen snakes here. we have a 5 acre field that I like to leave well alone to encourage not only insects and small mammals (lots of field mice and voles, leads to lots of barn owl watching ?)but also to help with the wild flowers, must say I reckon I've not seen as many butterflies as normal thoug

I really wanted this to be a good review ?

You can use a remote that you stick to the fore end of the rifle but I don't bother with that. Cracking scopes mate, it's the best I have tried. -

For the life of me I can't remember what he had when he came down to mine. -

I know, I've worked my way through a lot of kit over the years trying to find what I was happy with, it's cost me an arm and a leg, the best bang for my buck has been the pulsar 'n' range, currently have the 970lrf and very happy with it, but not much good daytime so I just have a spare rifle for the day shooting now. you can build a pack whatever size you like, I use 4 batteries in mine and it lasts me 5 or 6 nights shooting. -
It don't matter how big a shed you build, you will still fill it with something ? I learnt that one years ago but I'm still building more and bigger every year
-
Oh and forget the shipping container, condensation like nowt you would believe unless it's an insulated one, everything will be dripping wet and rusty in a year or two.

Mate, your the second person I've heard had problems with this unit, and all Nv will eat batteries, get a pack, or better still buy the components and build one and they last for days, long enough lead to slip into a coat pocket and your laughing, I've never looked back since doing that. -
Don't be fooled, building your own won't work out cheaper as you will be wanting better quality than shop bought crap. i just built one 28 ft x12ft, but I made a proper job, 4"x2"frame rather than 2"3/4 x1''3/4 22mm shiplap, everything all treated before assembly, felt, ply lined etc etc etc, its cost a lot more than I could have bought one, but twice the shed I would have got, and it's exactly what I wanted size and fitted out. If you can get cheap materials your laughing, but they cost a packet off the shelf.

Yeah I really rate the crickets, hence I have 3, they have a few things I would like to see improved for sure, but I'm yet to find a rifle I can't find something I don't like ? Am fussy you see. The Vulcan is something else mate, I bought mine on a whim and have fell in love, it's my ''go to'' daytime rifle now, and the .25 cricket is my night rig. Your bang on the money about the matador, its was the one and only reason I sold my two, not only awkward, but not smooth enough for my liking either.

Well the offer stands you can have a look through mine, but by eck it's a long way, you must be able to find someone closer

Ha ha, I've been watching that as well. been toying with the idea of having a custom stock like that one made as well. Agreed about cocking the rifle by your ear, it takes some getting used to for sure. The vulcan is side lever, much better and so smooth.

I've shot and owned both, and both are great guns, but neither are as good as the cricket or the Vulcan, the vulcan is a pure tack driver, it's had the edge (just) over everything I have owned, and believe me that's one shed load of rifles ?

Good call on the crown, I've had my eye on one for a while now. where you based

Blimey, that made some reading, must have been hell for you, really pleased she pulled through and hope you have a good season with her and many more to come.
-
Well, considering they stopped making them a few years ago now, I would be surprised if anyone can buy one new.
-
Ha, I rarely sell stuff, but will keep you in mind if I do.

That is very nice. I have to admit that when I usually see these sorts of things they never look right to me. We knew a fella many years ago who was superb, and he done a black lab she had that died young, it was a spitting image, and it was done from a poor photo, he added a brace of pheasant into the pic by her feet, it really captured her. Not so many years ago my ex had a local artist do my rottie as a birthday pic, I was speechless, again it was perfect, the Orrible **** smashed it up when we split up, amongst many other things. i would like to know who d

I've got a couple and they are good glass, but too big and heavy most of the time. i like the older mtc range, got quite a few, and Jonson is right, I have the viper 3-12x44 and it's fantastic, I'm also a fan of the scb reticle.

Tommy Robinson How Is He Viewed In Britain At The Moment
Rabid replied to stonewall's topic in General Talk
Knowing how the system plays things, he WILL be convicted again, but most likely time served already will clear it and he will walk free from the retrial, that way they don't loose face, or it would leave the door open for a compo claim for the time he has served and unlawful imprisonment. I would be very surprised if they send him back down for more time as he has gained a lot of support and publicity over this and they can surely see the momentum it would gain if he goes back down. They want to shut him up, and it's now proven been inside is NOT working, in fact had the opposite effect. -
Must be someone near you, welcome to have a go with mine but it's a fair trek

Only in Ireland could you get two months and have three removed ?
