No point slipping at this stage unless you know he has sited that can come later Try get in between the rabbit and home to not all ways possible but if you can then he has ample chance to spot as it comes your way

  15. Just takes practice so it seems. Having loads of rabbits flying about is some times not a good thing. Better of with one or two in a field. You don't want the dog getting excited and storming around the place and its easier to focus. Slow and steady and get good habits in place rather than worry about catching. If only thats what I had done

What he didnt say was they were flighty buggers so I kept well away so only had a couple of fields to walk. Back home for a cuppa and nipped to the market for some spuds. But still fancied a wander with the dog. So boxed up the ferret again and set off on foot for a quick walk about. The dog gave a nice mark but it was a big old hedge that I couldn't see over. I got some purse nets down and a few stop nets. The place was riddle little bolt holes every where. I wasn'

  23. Weather was nice this morning a lovely white frost just the ticket for ferreting. Off round the sheep farm for a bit of stock training. But mixy has cleaned that farm out for this winter but it was just a matter of getting round the woolies so we don't end up on a youtube video . Off to the next spot then hardly a hot spot but worth a walk. As we drove by the gate I spotted a rabbit sitting by the wood. No chance of getting it to ground in that cover but some thing for the dog to have a rattle about for. As we climbed over the gate old charlie came walking round the corner so got the dog lo
