No bass today. Funny how quick things can change. Was fair swell running so we were well back. I had just knocked up bacon and egg roll. Heard me cousin yell next to me and bang whacked by wave knee deep. All me gear got dragged in. Could see me rod at bottom of bank thought bout making dash for it but decided to wait for next wave to get out way. But when that one went back no more rod lol. Lost me pride and joy gortex trousers to. Not to worry managed to hang onto my bacon roll

Hunting of any kind will never win any votes . Only got see all the comments on fb about the trail hunting. This is where the hunting kind folks I think may have an angle with this heritage thing. If they can do anything about it remains to be seen.

I am a rubbish shot but I a made natty couple of years ago. One day by accident I twigged if I hide the target with the tip of the fork I am on the money. Slowly but surely getting better. Very slowly mind lol

Still got your box here Jok. Rabbits numbers are dire but the dogs foot is blown can rarely let her off a lead which has pretty much topped it off and made me throw towel in. Shed full of nets. Will be my last dog and ferrets now. Last week end I new set of holes by quiet foot path. Dog on lead she marked it as expected. But when I had proper look holes went for long way down thick hedge. Huge drop off . Just to much which has all ways been the way around here. As a rule dog could cover holes I can’t see but like I say lead bound now

Moon was up but fancied a quick drop with 25 yarder. Slim pickings around here now a days. Picked blind set so no worries about the moon. Caught sod all. According to the dog the two that were out missed the net by few yards . Not to worry nice to run it out any way

Great days groups of us kids playing in the rough fields. Hiding behind turned over cars throwing bricks at each other. Top tip don’t peep over the top when it goes quiet. That hurt. Running round the fens with my homemade bow arrow after pheasants. That was a roaring success trips to wales in the reliant robin with granddad later on the copper at door were you digging badgers sir your van was spotted. No officier. Ok that’s fine bye much better times never appreciated it back then bloody do now

November is a very good month for the old bass before they mostly sod off. Whole joey fishes well. Mind the hard bit is getting where the fish are
