Best Log Splitter for Home Use – Recommendations?
terryd replied to amadolabonte's topic in General Talk
Speed of the ram is a consideration. I used to have a 4 stroke one from Scotland handy tool and after day in woods did logs in evenings but when you were in a rush the speed of the ram was a pain but obviously easier than swinging ya chopper. We had a pto driven one or the boss did that was the boy nice fast ram. Out of touch now a days but yea watch speed of ram don’t want it to slow -
Tidy our estuary you wouldn’t have to go far to be in bother. Like you say cracking exercise for them keep cool to

Down Weymouth last week for few days. Plenty of rabbits about and deer -
Just a collie cross. But she has a great nose and high drive and covers a lot of ground fast. All cover and woodland by me. The mph reported is not accurate but it reports when she is running or trotting or just walking and the gps is accurate so you can see her travelling on the map and the speed. Even reports her treed if she rears up on a tree marking a squirrel lol

GPS gives peace of mind and keeps you involved in the hunt. Other wise your stood in woods twiddling ya thumbs while you dog is going like shit off a shovel in pursuit. It’s interesting to watch the course they take the speeds there going etc. We all ways managed before so not essential by long way. But now days with roads and general public about just handy.

I found sleeping bag washed up on beach other night in its bag. Gave it a wash and dry and it’s in tidy order . Looks like cheapo Tesco job. I was down beach other night early hours netting. Knackered and thought I could quite easy nod off in the dunes. So as part of my losing the plot as I get older I’ve ordered a British army bivy. No doubt hate it and wish I bought tent lol. Never camped in me life -
Good to see tomo anything healthy to be encouraged
