  1. His got two legs and some enthusiasm and the dog sounds like its landed on its feet with a good home hopefully. Better than some of the poor buggers
  2. Like the fella with the long name above said you don't need to worry about fitness just exploring with be good enough. My dog is very unfit wind wise a full night lamping would kill him lol But his more than up for a quick half dozen or so when ever we feel like it or can find the sods which is good enough for me
  3. lol yea if they don't skin easy they head for the ferrets

  8. Thought I would nip up and check the 5 snares I had set earlier in the evening and walk the dog at the same time. I all ways tend to take the lamp as well cause you never know lol. Across the first field then we come to an open gate. Now a few times this year I have had a rabbit by popping the light on before going through the gate as some times there is one right there. Sure enough tonight just as I hit the squelchy bit i popped the lamp on and a rabbit was away. The dog has sussed it and he was ready and off he went. The rabbit got to the hedge first but made the mistake of putting in a tur
  9. Hopefully the dog has landed on its feet and all goes well for you. Be surprised the little pockets of rabbits you can find that others over look that is one advantage of walking, cycling every where. Have a nose on freecycle or some thing for a bike

  11. Very good as all ways. How old is the older dog now ?
  12. Pole cat maybe ? I bolted one a few years ago and it would have done my little jill in no problem if it decided too
  13. 3 in March Joe and seems to be learning and listening more with age thank god
  14. Yes I often turn around after I have bagged a few. Just popped out with the lamp while there was a bit of cloud. They ran well tonight and he didn't have it easy for a change and now his doing the old lion skin rug impression
  15. Out early to check the snares this morning. I never was any good at snaring and things haven't changed much The dog was wondering what hell I doing A cracking frost this morning too off then to our permission for a bit of ferreting. As a rule I do the fields by the house where I thought the rabbits were. Thick old hedges and hard work but for a change I decided to do his fields the other side of valley. Only 4 little fields but looked good in the distance. I started walking the boundary hedge and straight away could see signs about and looked good. I kept the dog o

  17. yes and I think there was a link to complain to offcom or who ever. Now I bet a fair few used that including my self. Yet nothing was ever heard yet if 3 people complain about songs of praise it makes the news
  18. See the nose on the brown one being held by that women at the end going ten to the dozen eying up the hedge in the distance Interfering idiots
  19. bet he saw you getting the the old leather chaps out Ken and thought monopoly might be the better option
  20. Plus the gun might go off accidentally for what ever reason that would be the biggest worry. An irate person all stressed and shaky with the safety off not good
  21. Obviously twigged its more important to keep the head woman happy as at the end of the day they call the shots. If its like my house any way
  22. Must be a jr thing then lol. It was a clever little talent knowing to be perfectly quiet at any other time. Ferreting day in and day out from the moment he could walk probably helped his learning
  23. Any one got a dog that marks but gives a vocal indication. I don't mean going nuts at a hole yapping like an idiot. Just a little indication. My old russell a long time ago when he marked new the importance of silence. But he new if I couldn't see him to give a little woof. If I called his name because he was in the middle of a bank of briars or some where marking he would give a muffled little woof. 9 times out of 10 that was enough to get me heading the right way. If I still couldn't find him then call again he would actually woof a little bit louder. I never thought much about it back the
