  1. tripe is low in protien but high in fat. Some dogs just dont put weight on easy. They are the best sort imo. feed good stuff but more of it,every dog is diffrent and need diffrent amounts.
  2. To late now you have told half of the world about Nick,,,never heard of him till you posted the topic,,,,,,,you ruined the mans life,,,,,,he sounds really pissed off......lol.............. massive ego slightly dented....Pity his first post wasnt in the bushing or hunting section telling us about his rabbit pack....Griffon vendeens, they hunt like mad and he can hunt them like a dream. Seen them in action...very good sport..
  3. Thats witty now be honest, did you mean to be?
  4. The dogs may die but the germ cell lives on. There could still be dogs around carrying your Bull. No offence intended.
  5. Thanks Cant for being honest and an alround good egg.
  6. I hope Katchum is your real name you scoundrel!!!!! seriously he used to knock the tettles out for 600 a go before didricksen ruined the market....scratch that Im not who I appeared to be...
  7. Where I live its mostly shooting estates that butt up to each other. Getting permission for terrier work isnt too bad but lurcher lads would have more chance of winning the lottery. My nearest permission is 40miles away and I travel much further. Attitudes do vary quite a lot I think but shooting is an industry that excludes most other activities.
  8. Ive got a feeling Alcapone is not his real name..Does that mean he is irrelevant aswell?? just checking
  9. He said the site was full of wrong uns..He didnt mention the authorities,I think he was talking about antis.
  10. I would think Lurcher owners/workers are in the minority as CA members. Thats a pity because despite all our opinions and knowledge of fox hunters attitude to anyone barr themselves and there power within the CA we are all better to have one voice when it comes to politics. I will always defend hunting with dogs as a whole because its all the same to me,that is working dogs be it Lurcher, terrier Spaniel or Hound. Its a pity I have to be lumped in with a lot of horsey folk who think its all about them though and who will still be able to ride long after the dogs have vanished.. Well said. But m
  11. Look forward to seeing some contributions from you on the bushing forum with your bobbery pack..

  13. ive more chance of flying than getting a gun licence, Hence the question mate You dont need a licence or a gun if there is someone with you who has got both. The law says that the intension must be to shoot. The CA wont back you if you are not legal. Thats what this topic was about originally. Are you a member btw?
  14. It amazes me how many people take terriers out without a shotgun. You cannot under the act flush quarry from underground without the intension to shoot it. You can miss or not be quick enough to get a shot but you must have a gun present with intention to shoot to be legal.
  15. I dont believe they should be made to work for us. I know what you are saying and you are right, but the truth is they are mainly about hunting with hounds. They are happy to have anyone pushing tory propaganda through letterboxes but they mainly Lobby for hunting with hounds.
  16. Interesting discussion, but as usual many appear not to see the wood from the trees? Many ill informed or think they know better yet do little.A question for the Lurcher lads who are knocking the C.A. for not doing enough for them. With respect. Why don't ye get up off yere backsides and set up your very own national representative body???? Terriermen have a superb national organization, the NWTF and make themselves heard as a group and have done Trojan work over 30 years to protect their game!. By the way, if you work terriers in any fashion "YOU" should be a member, no if's or but's. Just c
  17. Swap scooby for horse and hounds for Alaunts and what have you got? All the lurchers ever bred couldnt damage the countryside and crops as a hunting pack does.. And how do you know about these moaning people who never pay subs? Ive been a member from the start and when it was BFSS but since when did we have to pay in this country to have or be entitled to an opinion? I know Masters of hunts who wernt members when we marched in London. Ive heard others reminiscing about the great marches and protests with a drink in there hand who I know for a fact never left there farms...so lets hav
  18. Keep seeing that quote JD....last week I was handed a copy of the CAs magazine off a pal who shoots,it contained plenty of shooting, mounted packs etc I saw the word "terrier" printed once, this was in a generic advertisement, coursing /lurcherwork/ferrets were not mentioned at all seems the divides already well and truly in place mate Was there articles on fishing, falconry, longnetting, squirrel shooting, mink hunting and pigeon decoying in it ? What you're looking for is a magazine on terriers and lurcher . Can I suggest EDRD ? Cop on to yourself and look at the big picture, like mo
  19. Have you got a pic of her standing on a flat surface please?
  20. They only want to know our sort when theyre in the shit and need numbers, otherwise they would be glad to see the back of us lurcher and terrier lads. If it came to compromise where they could shaft us to keep there own bit on horseback they would. Its taken me too many years to realise this but I now know it to be true..
  21. I agree with Fly the boy there, you have to be careful a dog hasnt been spoiled or scared. A lot of pups with that type of breeding are over matched and spoiled early on then moved on. Much better with something under 5 months. When you cross a rough with a smooth you can get rough or broken but usually when you then go back to a smooth coat I think the broken coat more or less goes. You see that when they cross welsh hounds with English..
  22. Is that the one with that sandy haired ponce of a farmer on it? They are a bunch of twats...thats programmes for old ladies and queers..
