It might help if this thread wasnt in the pinned bit because it doesnt get noticed.

You appear to be discarding a lot of other people with expertise in plenty of areas. I dont doubt some people may have expertise in the feild but who has expertise in media and communicating with national bodies? maybe persons should let us know what attributes they can bring to the table? Y.I.S Leeview Me! I deal with global C-level people all the time. Not the media granted but still have to project a squeaky clean image of complete professionalism and be able to communicate effectively with very senior people As I said before I would be happy to get on-board, just feel

Bassets are slower or should be. A Bassett is a full hound on shorter legs. Hounds born with this condition like dwarfism used to be destroyed until someone decided to breed it in for the purpose of slowing the hound down.. The Bassett makes up with a deep scenting ability and hes very good on a drag. The Griffon vendeen is diffrent, faster a bit mad and very liable to change on a line. I'd much rather watch English Bassetts. I know the real hunting Bassetts have more leg and Harrier blood has been used by packs like the Westerby but they wouldnt want to get too leggy and fast or they wont be B

Your honest enough to admit nicking a trap,so what. Ive had traps nicked by kids, its all part of growing up. Dont listen to any judgmental old arse lickers on here. There main pastime is knocking others to make themselves look good. Fieldsports kept me out of correction school where a few of my mates ended up. All fieldsports are good for young people imo but Im sure you wont be put off by the odd tosser you are bound to encounter along the way.. I hope you take up the free book offer, you really can get addicted to running dogs..

I see the new badge released by the CA "10 years on" has left out the terrier man and his dog. He was there. Where has he gone? I wont be buying one but I will be asking the CA where the missing terrier has gone. Perhaps hes gone off with the Greyhound and Lurcher that never made it.

. Sounds like that bitch had a show gaz full season come late usually hound types show first before there have a full cycle .atb bunnys. I was thinking that, that she a young bitch ? , norm as a bitch matures her season get more stressful physical. I had bitch lurcher + lurcher bred she was ok for 3-4 seasons , then as she got older her season knocked her about more. it was one of the reasons I went or males in the end , and try to keep males now, but that bitch was very good dog she done good on all quarry, she was 25in 50 odd lb brindle looked just like a greyhound , but had some

It used to be all Deerhound crosses but Saluki types have taken over because they are better on big flat land . My mate Stan has them.

I dont think it said whippet at first did it claude, just non ped,I think thats where the confusion came from. Anyway the best thing is get in touch with your local non ped whippet club. There is a magazine called whippet news run by Chris Cornish, but they dont advertise litters. You would need to get your local club depending where you live. Send me a pm if you need any help. Imo you are far better off with a non ped whippet than a kc one if you get the right stuff. Good luck

tripe is low in protien but high in fat. Some dogs just dont put weight on easy. They are the best sort imo. feed good stuff but more of it,every dog is diffrent and need diffrent amounts.

Do you mean whippet?

To late now you have told half of the world about Nick,,,never heard of him till you posted the topic,,,,,,,you ruined the mans life,,,,,,he sounds really pissed off......lol.............. massive ego slightly dented....Pity his first post wasnt in the bushing or hunting section telling us about his rabbit pack....Griffon vendeens, they hunt like mad and he can hunt them like a dream. Seen them in action...very good sport..

Thats witty now be honest, did you mean to be?

The dogs may die but the germ cell lives on. There could still be dogs around carrying your Bull. No offence intended.

Where I live its mostly shooting estates that butt up to each other. Getting permission for terrier work isnt too bad but lurcher lads would have more chance of winning the lottery. My nearest permission is 40miles away and I travel much further. Attitudes do vary quite a lot I think but shooting is an industry that excludes most other activities.

Ive got a feeling Alcapone is not his real name..Does that mean he is irrelevant aswell?? just checking

He said the site was full of wrong uns..He didnt mention the authorities,I think he was talking about antis.

I would think Lurcher owners/workers are in the minority as CA members. Thats a pity because despite all our opinions and knowledge of fox hunters attitude to anyone barr themselves and there power within the CA we are all better to have one voice when it comes to politics. I will always defend hunting with dogs as a whole because its all the same to me,that is working dogs be it Lurcher, terrier Spaniel or Hound. Its a pity I have to be lumped in with a lot of horsey folk who think its all about them though and who will still be able to ride long after the dogs have vanished.. Well said. But m

ive more chance of flying than getting a gun licence, Hence the question mate You dont need a licence or a gun if there is someone with you who has got both. The law says that the intension must be to shoot. The CA wont back you if you are not legal. Thats what this topic was about originally. Are you a member btw?
