  1. All the action is on YouTube apparently and a full report in the Craven Herald. I can't put the links up on my phone.
  2. I'm sure there will be more news about this in a day or two. The only news I can find is on the CA website.
  3. Just heard the case against the lunesdale huntsman has been thrown out, the case collapsed. Another f**k up by the antis. More info on Countryside Alliance website.
  4. Okey dokey...To the three drivers of the cars that had a bump this morning on the M65, holding traffic up for ages and making me miss a booked off day on the fells...I hope your fannys fester...Yes, it was three women drivers by the look of it.
  5. Bush, I've lots of days holiday owed, hence the days off. However, today didn't happen. Due to some folks inability to drive I was held up for nearly two hours on the M65. By the time it was cleared I'd of been very late so I had to turn round and met traffic on the way home!
  6. Up there tomorrow and for three days next week. That's what life's for I think
  7. I ended up flogging my drums so we could have a Christmas. The kids, now grown up, keep saying they'll get me another.
  8. Played the drums in my younger days, doing the working mens clubs and night spots. First thing I did when I started work, was to get myself a gold glitter Premier drum kit on the never never. It took me years to pay it off!
  9. When I stayed over at a farmhouse in the lakes, they had a taxidermied full fox by the fireplace. It was curled up with its brush over its mask and with eyes just open, almost peeping. I'm yet to see a better one anywhere, it was outstanding and very lifelike
  10. Waste of time. Do you think the terrorists are even noticing this march? Absolutely not. Action is needed not thousands walking along a road.
  11. As for it being too early to lamb? Bollocks, there are one or two breeds that drop early. I remember being out hunting years ago with hounds and running through a field full of ewes in lamb. That was in December and they were due to drop any day. The farmer wasn't pleased mind. I asked what breed they were and I'm sure he said they were Norfolks. The photo could have been staged anytime, it's such an easy one to do. Let the antis worry about that!
  12. They're probably not the real McCoy! There's some good sales on at the moment for Harkila pro trousers, shop around.
  13. In my daughters case it was an independent company, Excel, I think they're called.
  14. My daughter got one for putting one wrong letter in on one of those machines that asks for the first three letters of your reg. she was in her partners car, so easy mistake. I've told her to bin it. It was at Stockport peel centre, who have a notorious record of fining people for minor things! Cnuts
  15. Went to Canada a few years ago and it was brilliant. Big into hunting, shooting and trapping, we loved it and could of stayed. Cost of living was ok, people really friendly and there's lots of Brits out there. Never been to NZ.
  16. I asked a sparky in work who advised me and even got me the gear. Armoured cable etc. I just fitted it.
  17. Surely the idea is to not get your socks wet in the first place, so I'd have thought that investing in good boots is the best way to go with a couple of pairs of socks on. It's akin to getting a waterproof sweater and wearing a poor outer coat! Just seen some sealskins for £30 odd quid in GoOut Doors!
  18. I have the Puroforts for work. Great boot, tough, your about 2" off the ground the sole is so thick, so the cold's well away from your feet and they're neoprene lined. They are a little heavy but ok for an hour or two walking in. My Aigles are fecked now so I might get some Puroforts for my own personal use. Compared to the Puroforts, the Aigle look very lightweight and flimsy.
  19. I was at the Utd v Newcastle game today. The Geordies sang to start with and applauded at 17 mins, then went one down and that was it from them. A "wee northern team" to quote AF.

    Ho Ho Ho!

For those of a certain age, get radio 2 on now for Junior Choice...Very nostalgic.
  21. Keep it low key. I do a lot of places that the public use during the day, but at night it's just me and a friend. Cover your tracks, don't leave any corpses or blood, litter, even fag dimps, cos if folk are owt like me, they'll spot the dimps! I notice these when poachers have been on a local private reservoir. Leave the area clean and nobody will know you've been. I'd still go if I was you, have a word.
  22. I stopped when ale got to a pound a pint, which was years ago now. I said I would and I did, which upset my mates. I'll have a few pints now and then with my lad or at a hunting do, but I'm quite happy staying in, plus I can't afford to be ill with supping too much ale, I'm normally hunting weekend! Just heard that the local near to our kid is charging a tenner to get in on new years eve! And what's happened to Whitbread Chesters mild, can you still get it anywhere? That was a lovely drink in my day.
  23. A good session in the pub must round your day's hunting off nice.Something I must get around to doing. You'd never get me singing mind, I'd be stood in the background, taking it all in...... having a good old sup!! The good old day's eh!!..... mardale hunt song: well the e and e have a joint meet with the ulls water. and its epic! truely epic haha ile find some videos of last years if you want? ive got some of this year on the phone but cant get them on! the only thing i like more than hunting is hunting songs! That guy singing the Mardale song is Norman from CFH.
