  1. He looks like Brian May with his Barnet shaved
  2. First class Cnut, he needs spading
  3. I'll echo those sentiments Wild Rover. I spent many hours in his company, around a beer tent normally. Legend in the lakes.
  4. I had mine done 25 years ago, on New Years Eve morning. I was out that night jigging. No problems-but the guy in the next bed, 6' of muscle and brawn, fainted when he looked down! Over the years I've had the odd ball ache but nowt to bother about. First legover after you've had it done is like the first time you spilt your beans in the bike shed.
  5. I think his amateurish approach is what makes him likeable and to a degree, watchable. It's like you or me filming our local wildlife with our own camcorder. Certainly no expert and the programme isn't full of scientific facts and scrutiny.
  6. He's back on tonight at 8 on ITV, Wild Exmoor. He can't be any worse than Spring Watch on the other channel
  7. He did say if you leave a 5" x 5" cut out in your fence bottom, this will help the hedgehog! In my experience, they normally find a way.
  8. Control the Badgers and the Hedgehogs will return
  9. I ordered a Primos Trigger Stick tripod from Bushwear yesterday afternoon and it arrived an hour ago! Less than 24 hours later. I wasn't expecting it 'til next week. Great service and well packaged. 5* for Bushwear from me. Anyone used one of these?
  10. They're believing their own publicity. Soon got told to keep quiet, tossers
  11. Leave it as it is I say with perhaps exceptions for hill/fell packs and the farmers who struggle to control Charlie
  12. MoChara, the research will through up all sorts of interesting stuff. My sister has been researching our old mans family lately, and we found in the 1920s that one of his uncles got life for armed robbery! Now dad hadn't heard about that 'til our kid found it in the local rag. He had other dubious contacts as well. Great post Marshman
  13. I've got a similar one of my late gran pa over in Ireland, except he was holding a shotty and his mate two trout! Figure that one out.

Had my 2 year old granddaughter in the garden all week, planting the bedding plants, looking in the log pile for insects, catching bees in a jar then letting them go after looking at them and we made a worm bank and put some worms in. Watching Cubs next week with her if it stays fine
  15. Heard the male on 24th April and hear one most days. Predating on Meadow Pipits I'd have thought seeing as it's mainly moorland I work in.
  16. Always nice to see them, I love watching them at all times. Just had a fox in a minute a go, after one of my rabbits shot through the night vision. I let him go on his way. He'll be back though because I tipped the guts of six bunnies out.

Got two on my valleys, but not heard them this week. Had the male right in to me the other week. They'll be on with breeding now. Derwent valley near Ladybower reservoir is usually a good place to find them.

I do various bits of vermin control for that society
  19. Thing with me is my head hair is growing inwards and coming out of my ears and nose!
  20. Nice to see Ed Balls get the boot, I can't stand the man. Twat!
  21. My JRT had a retained bollock. The vet said it would drop but never did. It did swell in his groin a year or two backso I had it removed and the other taken out at the same time.
  22. There were no gays when I was a lad, we didn't have time to think about it.
  23. Yep, we always mention this at team meetings around this time of year. I always have a Tick remover in the landy and keep an eye on the terrier after we've been on the fell side. Those ticks are nasty little b*****ds!
