  1. Me and the daughter had a quid each on the winner. It'll pay for six pints of Guinness later

It's getting more like Zimbabwe over here. Bent MPs, coppers are corrupt, bankers ripping everyone off. Who's running the CUNTry?
  3. For those interested, Cumbrian Lad has the second in the planned trilogy of books on the Ullswater FH for sale now via his web site. It's another crackin' read

I wear burmas every day of the week in all weathers and so far no probs. I put wax on them regularly and walk about 5 miles every other day. Soles are sound
  5. Bit early yet Trappa. Give it another week or two I'd say. Could it of been a dove or pigeon?
  6. That result will upset all the sports writers at the Daily Mail who have a private agenda with Utd and Moyes. Probably due to the treatment dished out by Fergie, so I'm pleased for Moyes especially
  7. Utd frustrated Bayern in the first half and they ran out of gas in the second half. Tactics were spot on. I'd of taken that score before hand. Secong leg? You never know though Bayern have to be big favourites. Well done lads
  8. I just hope they don't get a spanking. They're good players and just need to believe it
  9. I can't see Utd doing much. I've been to a few games this season and it's like I'm watching a different team, a mere shadow of what they're capable of. However, and clinging to any hope, they might get a draw. A win? Can't see it and I'm a big red whose watched them since '69. Damage limitation. Let's get this season over and take stock for a good start next year.
  10. Middle of April normally and from the south. There will be none here yet. They need caterpillars and insects to feed on
  11. It's either more protein you need or you're exercising too much
  12. I have a lovely mounted male Cuckoo for sale. Cased and in great condition. This was finished by the late Roger Fisher. Originally by someone else, I wasn't happy with the end result so I took it to Roger who did a great job with it. North west area and will deliver locally within reasonable distance. £70. PM please
  13. Sorry can't help out here but just to let folk know there's a great offer on today, subscribe to the Shooting Times and only pay 50% for a whole year. Good deal
  14. I had it done 20 odd years ago. 31st December it was. I was in the pub later that day at 7.30! Well, it was New Year's Eve. I never suffered some of the things you hear about having the op. Best thing was the next time you spilt your beans...like having sex for the first time!

Making the Greeks look good and they're not.
  16. I'm with Walshie, I whistle all the time and my daughter is the same, though she doesn't always know she's doing it
  17. I should have made it clearer IGUN, that I was meaning most of the so-called pop stars that were on the show, but including Mr Turner. I wouldn't have known him if he'd of walked into the house!
  18. They're so far up their own arse it's unbelievable, ego seekers
  19. Nice to meet you too Tom, thanks. The rifle will be well used and looked after
  20. Yep, ok. Still legging it with the fell packs. Good price for what will be decent terriers
  21. Nice to hear from you Fellman. Someone told me you'd passed away! ;-)
  22. Should of said plenty will put in for it but once they've sorted the wheat from the chaff only one or two will prove suitable
  23. He's going to Canada to hunt over there. I've heard one or two names being mentioned for the job and I wouldn't say they'll be a rush, it's a bit of a specialist job is being a fell huntsman. Most couldn't do it
  24. The topic title should read..."Bill Roach FOUND not guilty". Always looked a bit slimy to me
