  1. mercury was my second ever rifle .. I fancy one of these one day to do up. had some fun with the one in the farm office I used to work at. Did many mad dashes to the office while working to shoot a rat or rabbit spotted spotted while doing the rounds. I remember it been pretty good. Nice rifle Tom. Just been saying to the wife about the time I bought it. She was with me and after buying it, we walked through the town with it to the local canal to shoot it. After that I jumped ion the bus home with it, no bag or cover on it.
  2. I bought a Vaillant eco tec pro three years ago off the 'tinternet. After reading reviews and checking prices elsewhere, I bought mine from a place in Sheffield. It cost just over 700£ picked up. I then had a mate in the trade fit it for me, so I saved bucks there. Shop around for the best prices for fitting only. British gas are notorious for charging the earth for such jobs. It's like going to Kwikfit for your tyres...You'll know you'll get ripped off. CORGI registered is the way to go for piece of mind and legal.
  3. I don''t know if it's just localised CC, but if there 's a house with 5 or 6 in, then they'll all be screened, well in my area anyway. Hence further delays inevitable. I don't think it's a bad thing. Tthey are being extra careful and don't want to let anyone slip through the net who MIGHT present a problem in the future. That's a tough call,
  4. Had a home visit this morning for my renewal. The Officer was saying that there is a massive backlog in my area and that a cover note will be sent out when my license expires next month with license to follow. Extra checks are one of the reasons in my area. They screen all house occupants as well now. They've replaced the top man with 4-5 others who then decide who has what, so more are being refused for little things, they're not taking any chances. After seeing me, the officer was on their way to tell two others that they wouldn't be getting a license.
  5. Top bit of kit. Makes shooting that much easier with the Primos. Steadies your aim, light to carry and very well made. Especially good on uneven ground. Expensive but worth it if you shoot often. The shooting gun centre are knocking out a cheaper version
  6. All that effort to get one man....pity they didn't put as much effort into saving the hostages in the first place!
  7. I've been reading about this case in the paper. The cheeky cnuts even put a sofa in a corner of a car park so they could carry out their heinous crime in comfort! Unbelievable
  8. I needed one the other week and bought Airgunner magazine. In the classifieds was a second hand TX HC for 270£. Unbelievably, it was local so I went to have a look. It was mint condition, had 50 pelts through it. Came with scope, bag and pellets. Keep your eyes open in the for sale sections, you never know.
  9. Lamped two guys getting stuck into each other a couple of years ago. The giver just smiled at me and carried on. Got a few rabbits that night too!

  11. Had this jacket on this morning and in atrocious, stormy very wet weather it performed brilliantly. Taking it to Wales tomorrow for a day out?
  12. Still got most and actually enjoy going to the dentist. Had them cleaned last week by the hygienist and she just about makes my trousers twitch so it's win win ??
  13. Lads, I don't know what these are like but for those on a budget, Sportsman Gun Centre are selling telescopic triple sticks, (HSF) for £24.99. I suppose if you're just stood in the same spot they'll do. Anyone tried them?
  14. I have a Pitch Black field master on my rimmy and can't fault it. It's spot on but many won't like the size/bulk that comes with it.
  15. It would of been nice just hanging from a branch
  16. I'd be surprised if they revisit after the application visit. Unless you give them reason to.
  17. Strictly speaking, they should be killed. Tell her to put her foot through them
  18. Reapplied for mine recently but didn't send it back. I was told to send them a photocopy of it. Sent it off at least 6 weeks ago, told it would take up to 12 weeks, that included my FAC as well
  19. It's no good getting on your belly if you've got cover in the way, like long grass etc or a barn or cow shed where there's shit all over the deck!
  20. Inform the police if you intend picking a road kill badger up. Anything else will be excepted by a taxidermist if it's in good nick.
