  1. The realism of Salmond is he failed to get independence for his country, something as a Unionist ill always thank him for,yet respect his resolve and fortitude,Salmond is as British as the best of us,yet as Scottish as the ones of us that may wish we were borne to be,a better Brit than most,as good a Jock as many of his illustrious ancestors, well played that man.
  2. Seriously Seeker,Salmond created a wedge, utter bollocks,im as English as they come, yet the fella nearly united a nation,if he had been born a century or two earlier he may have been called "Bonnie" or "Bruce",hes possibly the best jock since Wilson, the arrow chucker,Dalglish or Souness,Braveheart Salmond for me.
  3. Id save my brass and put it towards something better suited to modern terrier location,mk1,s are better than nothing and many a time the mutt will be at less than 15ft,yet?.
  4. Did anyone see the news and the dog centre burnt down in Manchester?,did they also see the youngster taken by his parents to Europe so as to get him the only treatment that may save his life?,one raised over a million in 24hrs,one raised £40,000 in a week.Beggars belief at times.Realism is the realm of the romantics.
  5. What I understood of all that I possibly enjoyed?,envious though,well done.
  6. Ask politely, offer a little labour in lieu,if he says no,ask again later, faint heart never courted fair maiden.
  7. Technology may have moved up a step or two from the man traps and bullmastiff,s,that were want to chew on the odd poacher of old,yet it may come as a surprise to some that the feral poacher as an habit of poaching the estates and land that are adorned with any amount of modern technology, ive yet to encounter a camera, trip wire, sensor pad or sleeping keeper, that could run as fast,as hard and as long, often out of the range of all this modern trickery-do,as a determined scrote and his favourite lurcher, ferret, gun or web.
  8. Well im going to Sydney to watch the NRL grand final, hoping for the rabbitoh,s and the Burgess bruisers in the final, future son-in-law wants the Roosters.Im only going because ive been told its free scran and hooligan juice.Best stag do ive been on was sunny Halifax,i came to in Ilfracombe with about £20 in my pocket and a fear of ringing the missus and trying to explain something I genuinely had little memory of.

    Topper

I heard on the rumour mill that the surgery was to get the wallet out of your pocket Rog.?.
  10. My advice would be don,t,as yet,do plenty of research, get yourself out and about with a few hunting folk with lurchers, wait until you have built up a bit of knowledge and then source a pup to suit.Or as most of us did,get a collie cur, learn from the mistakes that ensue and enjoy, the best lessons learnt are often the hardest earnt.
  11. Fancy asking on here who would attack an innocent animal .
  12. The chances are it will be bruising and will settle down ,dogs are pretty damned indestructible, yet,id seek the aid of a decent bone man if its no better in a few days, the majority of vets are clueless with dog injury,s,the most they often do is administer a little pain relief and anti-inflammatory,something its cheaper to undertake yourself,as long as you take experienced advice on the matter.gently massage the affected area and find the tender spots,if the dogs in real distress its a vet job, just source a reputable dog vet,the local Greyhound track will point you towards a decent vet and bon
  13. I think he,s done a magnificent job for Scotland,im pleased that Scotland is still part of GB,there is no Great in Britain without Scotland.Because of Mr.S. Scotlands profile as been raised and they will get more control over their destiny, something that Salmond as been instrumental in,well done to the man and GB.
  14. Ireland is Irish in the South, its Irish in the North and proud to be British, irrespective of what the scum may have you believe. There is a proud history of Loyal Irishmen and their soveirenty, fact."no surrender" as Paisley oft quoted.
  15. Its always black and white, its never ben anything different, especially if you take the time to look?.
  16. The reality is without Scotland there is no Britain, without Britain there is little use for Scotland, even the majority of its ancestry that care little for living there,ie 007.Id hate to wake up without Scotland being part of GB,it would make GB less G.
  17. I left a Jack Russel for my younger brother to care for,the dog had an habit of biting anything, anyone or owt that crossed its path,it bushed to an high standard,it killed any fox that failed to vacate its lair,it failed to dodge the lead my brother sent its way because my mother said she was fed up of its indiscretions with the neighbours and wished it dead, she did,nt mean it literally but my cretin brother, who had an habit of shooting dogs, did.RIP Patch, little biting basket.
  18. Leash it,how long the leash needs to be is up to the dog,id make sure its recall is undertaken away from other influences, especially a park.Id take it to a place that restricted the dogs movement,an alleyway etc, especially one that's blocked so the mutt as to come back in your direction, initially, then allow the dog the freedom its recall warrants.
  19. The sangers at Aldergrove were manned by second class infantry,we called them the RAF,the real soldiers manned them in Belfast and Derry,it never ceased to amaze me how slippery the Sanger floors were want to become, the fat twat from Donny that used to spiv on the Calor gas heater is another matter, typical lad from South of the Shire.
  20. If this really happened on the camp?,then the lads involved may need to be a tad more savvy,id go back with a few like minded souls and trash the place,or better still play them up,tell the police a gun was raised and they had threatened to shoot you?,the armed response and the real Police would have taken that site to bits looking for firearms,or stolen property?.
  21. I doubt there as ever been a terrier created that was not initially bred to be more than a one trick pony, how the individual owner worked and bred their mutts may have opened up the avenues we tread now.
  22. Im just mystified how there are any hares at all in Ireland, with the amount of elite coursing lads and dogs from them fair isles, the rare occurrence of an Hare ever escaping these superior mutts jaws, how the feck are there any Irish hares left, yes I know they hide some on an island to capture, run and release again, them superior mutts must have cotton wool jaws, are the lads thieving dogs from the rest of Britain also taking a van full of hares back to release as well?.

    Oap's

I go out of my way to be as useful as possible to some of my older generation,an old lass, mary, comes to mind,id tune her telly in,move a bit of furniture etc,she was tiny and when she recounted her war time experiences I was in awe,she was a rat catcher and a farm hand, she told me tales of ratting and catching them with her hands,14 and 16 hour days, hay making, digging, driving tractors etc.,she must have weighed 8 stone in her day,yet worked like a navvy and caught rats by hand, mental, yet so admirable.
  24. When we think we have learnt all there is worth knowing,a collie cur as an habit of re-educating the hunter with an open and honest outlook.
