Personally speaking id not breed from a greyhound bitch,would have and did a long while ago.The problem is that some of the pups will throw to much to the bitch,in reality that is beset with all manner of problems,especially hunting ones,Greyhounds are not up to the task,or standard of an honest lurcher,neither are to many first crosses that throw to the Greyhound,not all.If its an undertaking with more emphasis on what may be produced from the second generation breeding and hunting potential,then id possibly give it a go,if its done to produce honest hunting jukels then id give it a miss and

From a personal viewpoint I would,nt own a digging terrier now,i expect my terriers to bush and ratch about to a decent standard,i also expect them to shift a fox from cover and his underground haunts,the majority of places I work you would not let a digging dog enter.Thus I get to work places digging lads avoid.A terrier on a leash walks past an awful lot of missed opportunity,s that its bushing cousin gains exercise from.Digging terriers are for the more resolute soul,at times,i don,t have their resolve or ambition.

Any dog that ratches and as a mooch about usually picks up the habit of marking tree,s,they only have to chase the odd squirrel or feral to get into the swing of it,many an happy hour can be undertaken with a mutt and an air-rifle ridding the land of a grey or two,until the tree,s come into leaf.

Pish,as soon as you seek luck in the ability of your charge then its a chase for redemption,luck plays no part in a lurchers ability in the field,never has and never will,fact.The owners ability to educate the said jukel to its potential can carry a dog only so far,the dogs history and breeding will carry it the rest of the way.

Some of my most rewarding nights on bunny,s have been influenced by a full moon,ferreting on the Bolton Abbey car park ,winter night,frosty and a full moon to illuminate the ground and webs,only chance we had to work that location,it was that hot the ice should have melted,until we worked it to our reward.30 and 40 rabbits were the norm on these occasions.Don,t do it any more,best left to others perhaps?.

Ive never had the time to sort the guts from the offal,by the time ive stuffed the smelly fecker into a green council garden refuse bag,the guts and offal have often been strewn along a dirty ditch,are we still talking about Sock,s "jack the ripper" post here,or have we moved on?.

You can sell a dog to a nugget for a grand and it will end up a dog worth £20,you can sell a savvy type a mutt for £20 that others would wish to own for a grand.Big prices are for big wallets,gamblers and ego,s.Why is it that the dog nappers are more interested in these pricey Saluki hybrids?,why is it that many are never recovered?.Are they bred from? and how much are their progeny sold for,with a tailored history.

My advice to any prospective purchaser of these overpriced mutts is wait until they are advertised for the 3rd time,as many are,they are far,far cheaper then.Some may tell you that the cream of the breeding is readily snapped up,i find this a tad strange as they all seem to be bred from the best about,thus their seems to be more cream than milk.

I remember drinking in Glasgow with a couple of itinerant English yokes,we had a little fare banter and a good craic,the beer was quaffed the jokes were resplendent and a little fat red nosed Jocky Wilson look-a-like took exception to our Englishness,the barman and the locals attempted to put Jocky in his place,to no avail,a well placed uppercut and a kick in the chin put paid to his indiscretion,what a lass.

A few independent butchers stocked more adventourous wares at one time,crocodile,emu,kangaroo etc,the supermarkets have an habit of closing them down,emu,s tough and not worth its price,i bred a few and wanted to knack a youngster to sample its youthful flesh,the curator forbid me as it was destined for another zoo,the fecking turkeys that were supposed to be in a breeding and conservation programme fared far worse than their Australian cousins,luvverly.

An awful lot of dog owners,especially lurcher and terrier folk are better educated in the requirements of the mutts they own,than the majority of newly qualified veterinarians,fact.The mistake this nugget made was posting his exploits on the open web,thus exposing the nugget to the ever evolving do-good-fecking clueless wannabe animal saviours amidst the tits that surf such sites.How many on here practice treatment on their mutts,that the feckless and ignorant internet tits,find unethical?,then jump on the bandwagon that hangs another for doing the same.Ill warrant the lads a nugget,ill warran

The mother to that dog was as honest a dog as ive ever owned,Gafer owned her brother that died to young.I don,t post pics of my dogs ever,Darcy took some at Otley show a few years ago and posted them,without consent,naughty boy.A while later a litter where advertised with my bitch as the mother,it came as a tad surprising as at the time as id never bred from her and to my knowledge she never whelped until 2 years later.
