  3. Is the bulldog rabbiting spade very heavy?
  4. That looks quality. Whats it like to carry?
  5. Im using a roughneck micro at the mo. I would use a bigger spade like a bulldog but I do a lot of walking to get to my permissions and the micro is easy to carry.
  6. I found loads of field mushrooms in one spot last year might go and have a look tomorrow. Theres also chestnuts nearby so hopefully Ill come home with a pocket full of them as well.
  7. At £2 per net can you break that down into what costs what? Spun poly is easily obtainable for £8.95 a spool( sizes do vary upto 600g+in some cases) X12 nets @75p ea in twine a couple of rings from 6p ea last time I bought some, draw cord 3yds say 30p. Obviously your time does nt come anywhere near minimum wage Y.I.S Leeview Hi there,I think your a bit off with prices. spun polly more like£10.50,net rings 10p each, draw cord say 30p so each net costs approx for a four foot net and 18 meshes wide= net===£1.00 2rings===.20p cord===30p total approx £1.50.thats just for the net,so i
  8. Hes been at it for years. I seem to remember he got the record for most powerful catapult.

  13. I ordered my scorpion from them and had a few problems. I made my order and after 2 weeks of them ignoring my emails they got back to me saying sorry for the delay the rifle has just come in stock from bsa and will be sent out tomorrow. I was also promised a free lenser p7 lamping kit to make up for it. They phoned and left a message with another member of the household saying they delivered my rifle to the nearest rfd. It was in fact the 4th nearest and I don't drive so I had a nightmare getting there to pick it up. After I got the gun which was perfect I discovered there was no lampi
  14. Some people seem to think that locators are just ferret retrieval devices but they also put extra rabbits in the bag. Only thing I don't like about them is the collars catching on the nets sometimes.
  15. I had parasols last year and I don't know if it was the way I cooked them but they weren't anything special. I prefer the field mushrooms. I found a chicken of the woods today while I was out ferreting but it was about 18ft up a tree so I had to leave it.
  16. Just over exited don't worry about it.
  17. Brilliant that must keep them well fit.
  18. Ive been thinking about that myself. Did you see one of Hugh Fearnleys programs where he made the rabbit haggis? I might give that a go.
  19. Covers my problem at the mo. My 2 big perms are are both planted up with sweetcorn and the rabbits are laying out in it. There is a lot about this season though. Had a couple of short sessions just to get my new jills started but apart from that Im getting pissed off waiting.
  20. Some of mine come to a squeak but not to their names.
  21. I was with you until you said still alive lol.
  22. Id take a mora over an opinel any day.
  23. So do I but these were near full grown kits that had never been handled by the breeder and the b a stopped them biting within a few days.
  24. Not everybody has friends with ferrets.... Or is willing to pay daft prices on gumtree.... Its irrelevant anyway... Not true that folk on Gumtree are just out to fleece you, its just a way of selling your stock AND they are sometimes given away free on these sites. Practically every ferret bought from a market has some kind of behavioural or other problem which I've witnessed and had to be passed onto a rescue or the like. if you know otherwise, then please be civil with replies and that goes for everyone lol I got my first ferret from the livestock market in Sevenoaks Kent
