    Its not such a stupid question when you think about it. I mean if you were only just starting out in the sport you could be forgiven for thinking that ferrets hunt when they are hungy. So i take it nobody research's ferrets before they get any and looks at the working posts before they start ferreting ?. Whats wrong with just answering someones question without all the usual school holiday silly season shite?

    Ive seen one of these before. It had a tennis game on it that was controlled by the dials on the pads. It also had a gun game with a white square floating around the screen which you had to shoot.

    I don't think you need to starve ferrets. I fed my ferrets half a rabbit last night same as most nights then today I worked them and they worked well all day.

    When I got my hob snipped rung around all the vets in my area and the cheapest I got was £71.40 most expensive was £134. £15? they've made a mistake surely.

    Ive picked up a couple of pockets full this season while out ferreting. First time Ive tried them since I was a kid realy nice.

    Youre dead on about people not taking air rifles seriously. I was close to gaining permission on a local orchard but the second the bloke realised I was talking air rifles instead of firearms he changed his mind.

    I do that as well when Im doing a warren that the ferret could wander out of unseen.

    Turn it down,,,or put tape across the speaker Cheers I do turn it down with the pinpointer. Ill try some tape over the speaker.

    Not been funny mate but head phones, you would not hear the thumping and bang you get the the scream as the ferret gets hold the all the under growth snagging on the leads?? Not my cup of tea Yeah I know wat youre saying. I meant to say an earphone. Anyway it wouldn't be in unless you were using the locater so surely youd still hear whats going on?

    I was told by my vet that the hob needs to be in season for the snip so spring would be best.

    The mk1 has no search function and the mk3 is to noisy imo. What Id realy like is a mk3 with a headphone socket.

    They are awful. If youre on a budget youd be better buying some decent quality second hand nets.

    Ah right. I use spun poly and the only downside to it is it soaks up so much water. I might have to try the braided nylon at some point. if your spun poly soaks up water its not spun poly, for this very reason you cant dye it. Its coloured in the manufacturing stage before its spun, nylon will soak up liquid and can be dyed after manufacture Y.I.S Leeview bought all my spun poly from agouti over about 2 years which is who everyone seems to recommend for poly so Im sure it must be the genuine stuff. It does soak up a lot of water though.

    Ah right. I use spun poly and the only downside to it is it soaks up so much water. I might have to try the braided nylon at some point.

    It does seem to be the people who have no confidence with ferrets that get bitten a lot.

    Says its made of rayon and its 50kg breaking strain so I don't think its the same as parcel string I might be wrong though.

    Looks good to me. How does the price compare to spun poly?

    I like both and idealy for a days ferreting I like to take 2 jills and a hob. I usualy enter the jills first and if I think theyre struggling I put the hob in I think of him as backup. Of course there are days when the rabbits are reluctant to bolt and hobs are perfect for the job.

    Shes probably just losing her summer coat her winter coat should come in very soon.
