  1. I don't spay my jills. I use a snipped hob.
  2. I see they've linked to this page to.
  3. Simon Whiteheads book is the best ferreting book by a mile imo.
  4. Ive got 1x50yd 1x25yd and enough sheet net to make a 7yd stop net. Not tried longnets yet as most of my ferreting is in woodland but ive recently found a spot that's ideal so will be giving them a go very soon.
  5. Id love to see someone come up with something that works well. Wouldn't know where to start myself.
  6. In my area no one apart from me seems to work hobs and I think this is a big part of the problem. People are taking their best jill and breeding it with any random usualy untested hob which could be watering things down. As well as that you've got people breeding for colour rather than working ability.
  7. I remember in the comments section on the Simon Whitehead video someone said he was keeping the design secret as he plans to market them at some time.
  8. I value a good worker very highly because they seem to be few and far between these days. I bought in 3 jill kits last season and only 1 of them has shown potential so the other 2 are being moved on to a pet home.
  9. He should fatten up a little bit at this time of year anyway. Wood pigeon I find puts more weight on a ferret than rabbit because of the fat content.
  10. I like to work hobs but I find more than one in the warrens I do overkill so I work 1 hob and 1 or 2 jills depending on the size of the warren.
  11. a rich man and a poor man are buying gifts for their wives birthday, the rich man says ' i got my wife a brand new BMW and a diamond ring, that way if she doesnt like the ring she can take it back in her BMW and stil be happy'. the poor man says ' i got my wife a pair of slippers and a dildo that way is she doesnt like the slippers, she can go f*** herself.
  12. Yeah Id go with that one. One of my perms has a warren in the base of a big oak tree it sounds like thunder when the rabbits start moving. That and rabbit vindaloo.
  13. As long as the compartment is big enough and theyre not in season you can carry them together yes. If you keep an entire hob and jill together they will breed. Best to separate them in the spring.
  14. Only had it once. Marinated in reggae sauce wrapped in foil and cooked in the oven lovely.
  15. Maybe theyre a bit immature? Have you got any older ferrets you could work? Then you could try these again in 2 or 3 months.
  16. Sounds like theyre skulking? Do you let them get clear of the hole before you pick them up?
  17. Have you heard about the dyslexic with Tourette syndrome? He goes around shouting, "This! This! This!"
  18. Oi you bushes over there why are you queing? Oh I beg your pardon your a hedge. Ill get my coat.
  19. That's true. I don't drive so I pretty much just ferret on my own doorstep and its all been hit hard by mixy at one time or another but they do bounce back.
  20. Have you heard about the dyslexic prostitute? Apparently she cooks sock
  21. A dyslexic man walks into a bra.
  22. A man walks into his house with a duck tucked under his arm. He walks up to his wife and says this is the pig Ive been fcuking she says that's not a pig its a duck he says I wasn't talking to you.
  23. Hes obviously been given some crap advice so isn't it better that he comes here and asks? I take your point about researching animals before you get them though.
