1. Must have posted at the same time lol.
2. Alot of hobs are coming out of season now so you might be better off with the jab.
3. Seems to be the way where I live. A few of the local ferreters think Im strange for working hobs.
4. I like both but if I could only have one it would be a small hob.
5. Both my hobs appear to be out of season.
6. You can use the mk3m itself to switch the collars on and off.
7. I would say handle them alot feed them rabbit pigeon etc and dont try to start them to young.
8. Ive just got a big piece of permission so I might have to start earlier than usual just to get it all done. Thinking early September.
9. I also have the roughneck micro. Its not as good for digging as a graft imo but its nice and light so Im sticking with mine.
10. I wonder if the people who say hobs are lazy have ever seen a good hob at work.
11. I like both but if I could only keep one ferret Id keep a good hob. To me the hobs seem to be more determined workers than jills.
12. Ive wondered the same thing. Take a look at this article. http://www.shootingtimes.co.uk/sportinganswers/260816/Does_hobbling_a_ferret_affect_its_working_ability.html
13. I also put in pigeons doves and magpies with guts in. Rabbits and squirrels I just take out the intestines and stomach.
14. Ferret finders are overpriced but Dig down to a few rabbits in stop ends over a season and they pay for themselves.
15. Was that Net Making For Sport by Howard Glynn? Good book well worth owning.
16. I learned from these vids on youtube.
17. My ferrets will happily take wood pigeon collared doves and magpies. Ive fed crow once but they wouldnt touch it until I plucked some feathers exposing the meat. Not sure if crows have something n their feathers which was puttin my ferrets off or what was going on.
18. I feed mine anything I shoot usualy wood pigeon dove magpie or squirrel. In the ferreting season they eat mainly rabbit. If ever I get stuck without any wild meat I use chicken wings or thighs.
19. I like bigish jills and small hobs. My current best worker is a small hob. Ive never used a muzzle I dont see the need for them. Hows a ferret supposed to persuade a stubborn rabbit to bolt without using teeth?
20. I work alot of cover so Ill bed getting a couple of albinos for the coming season.
21. £50 for a ferret? Most Ive ever paid is £10 and I thought that was steep.
22. Youtube has a few good vids on netmaking try these 2. Agouti for netmaking supplies.
23. Ill probably start in September as long as we dont get another heatwave like last season.
24. I use these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15-EXTRA-HEAVY-DUTY-CAMPING-6-15CM-PLASTIC-TENT-PEGS-/290564059518?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_HikingCamping_Tents_JN&hash=item43a6f7b17e cheap and they work well.
25. I had a go with catapults wasnt very consistent though so gave it up. Managed a couple of kills.
