    Are these the same fibreglass boxes that used to be on ebay? Very nearly bought one of them ages ago glad I didnt now.

    I use a napier pull through. Huntersvermin has a good video on youtube on how to clean your barrel.

    Fistful of ferrets and a few ferrets more are the best Ive seen. Also the Coney catcher films and any of Simon Whiteheads.

    Have you got one of those little plastic spoons that comes with a botte of medicine? you can cut a slot in them and use them same as the tick remover.

    No not the same jsb exact 4.52 are way better through my scorpion. Probably about 18 months ago when I bought my scorpion I was researching pellet brands and a few people were saying 3 brands where the same re labelled. It was jsb air arms and another brand which escapes me.

    Thats what Ive always done. Once they make contact with a few rabbits it usualy starts to click.

    I like to enter young ferrets in small warrens. Some of them seem to get it straight away and some take a bit longer so don't get disheartened if they don't get it instantly.

    I wouldnt be without one. Its not just a ferret retrival device it also puts a few extra rabbits in the bag.

    cheers all. Im not that bothered about this piece of permision but only because I had a bit of luck shortly afterwards ang got hold of alot of good land. Now I think about it he may have given it to a friend or something. I was just curious if anyone had had similar experiences.

    Maybe its just me but to ferret the same warrens once or twice a week seems way over the top.

    Sounds like you don't gave much experience a tiny field 6 times in a season say he only goes out once a week because of WORK , It's a bummer pie eater but the small land owners see one rabbit and there's suddenly millions , look there's loads loads of what ??? Holes , : ) caught six rabbits today mrs , reply is that it , that's all there is , reply there can't be there's millions , Cheers mate. The annoying thing is this landowner passed my phone number on to someone else and recommended me to them so I thought all was good. How many times a season do you ferret a warren?

    Im not that bothered now because Ive got a lot more land since but at the time I was just getting back to ferreting after 5 or 6 years out and I was trying to build up a bit of land. Im sorry but I think that ferreting the same warrens 6 times between December and February should be enough. The neighboring land is packed with rabbits and they have a ferreter so I couldn't get permission but It never seems to get done. I know I did a good job clearing the rabbits from this site which is why it bugged me the permission being given to someone else I don't think that's unreasonable. You

    As I said it was a small field. It only had a few warrens on it and in the end I was going up there for very few rabbits because Id already taken the bulk of them in the first 2 sessions. The following 4 sessions I was taking very few rabbits so Id say I did a pretty good job of clearing the rabbits. I didn't only go up there 6 times all season because I didn't get this permission until Around December. So how many times should I have ferreted the same empty warrens between early December and late February? How many times a season do you ferret the same warrens?

    Season before last I got a small permission just a little field. I was told by the owner go up there whenever you want. So I had a couple of fairly productive sessions and after that I popped down there a few times to keep emptying the warrens so I could keep the permission. Anyway beginning of last season I speak to the prick and he says hes got another ferreter coming along because I only went a couple of times (he seemed to think it should be done weekly or something).     Ive been using the hill pump on my scorpion and it realy doesnt take that much effort to fill my gun.

    Ive always used spun polly and a 2 1/8 inch board works for me. Did think about trying a slightly bigger mesh so the ferrets can pass through easier with their collars.

    Could just be the strain of the kits I suppose. Did she have a large litter? how old are the kits?

    Cheers chaps I have read a fair bit about longnetting and most of it says 18-20 inches but I was working on my net earlier and I suddenly wondered if the net should be set higher for daytime use when the nets more visible. Probably overthinking it a bit.

    Ive been rigging a 50yd longnet today Ive set it 20 inches high does that sound ok? How high do you set your longnets for ferreting?

    If theyre crapping a lot Im guessing you also feed dry food? I feed about 10 at night and take out any leftovers next morning.

    I do something similar. I have white draw cord on the 3ft 6 nets and red on the 4fters.
