    There was a fella on Instagram (what's that you ask ) selling a Swaro Habicht 6x42 with service history for £250. I thought of you, but he's raffling it now. I considered it myself just because those fixed mag Swaro's are bloody good value glass! I've got a 8x56 on my 25 and I'd not trade it for anything from a lesser quality brand.

    I thought it was only visible in the morning before sunrise at the moment but it'll transition to an evening sight shortly. I think it's tail has an apparent length three times the width of the moon! And it's getting bigger! I'm looking forward to seeing it.

    I'm generally in favour of at least considering 'holistic' approaches to land management and agriculture but this seems a bit meh. They sound about as 'wild' as a donkey and they're being released into one of the most agriculturally developed countries in the world. I hope they have a positive ecological impact and aren't just some greenies wet dream.

    Whichever company it is with the bullpup offering in the competition (GD?), they have developed a polymer cased cartridge. Again, with the warfighter in mind. Can’t see that taking off in the sporting sector. Ammo weight just isn’t a factor.
