    A healthy, well fed, well looked after, working ferret,..can handle a great deal of abuse/hardship,...(even though he should not have to)... I have worked ferrets from North to South,..but never had one die, just from the cold....

    Our job is all about communication,...and by that I mean,...telling the customer/client..how things are going to go down... I am a fair minded, honest wee fecker,..and I've been a rabbit catcher for several decades. Now, in my dotage, I only trap the mighty mole,.     You are right,...back in the 1980s,..Hampshire and West Sussex were good areas to freelance over In them days,...I slept all day and walked by night,... Never had, such fit, agile, prey driven dogs,....and never been so happy and contented in myself... Halcyon Days,...never to be repeated...

    Theoreticaly,..feeding pork flesh,.. should not be a problem,...however,..unless you are a pig farmer with copious amounts of dead stock at your dsposal,..the average lurcher owner is unlikely to have access to complete carcases....so,.one's experience is usualy restricted to 'pig's heads and splintering leg bones,'...

    If like me,.you have had a life with lurchers,...you are sure to have come across a few, that were 'not fit for purpose'.... Some animals just don't have IT.. What you do with such animals,.. is a matter for your own conscience... Truth is, no dog ever goes out of its way to be a c**t,...(it is illogical to believe this to be so),...SO,...a good dog man will always give a dog a fair break.. If ya ain't getting on,...then it is best to part company, and go your seperate ways,.. at the earliest opportunity... Some things just ain't meant to be....
