    Running the nets alongside the combine is great fun... I used to follow the tractors with my nets and curs,...it is suprising what comes out of the standing corn... Foxes, Deers, Badgers and Hares,..it can get, emotional.. Keep up the netting,...it has an excitement all of its own,.day or night... All the best, Phil..

    Yeah,..several times during my life,..I have had an urge to do something along those lines..but,..it is a long road and is, in my opinion,..a young man's game... The first thing to consider is,..what is your objective ? Secondly, is it achievable,...? Thirdly,.given the nessesary culling involved , plus all the feckwits, you are destined to meet along the way.., is it worth it .

    Good sensible,.helpful advice... I've had a few bitches that suffered badly from Phantoms,..and as stated,..once this business gets started,.. it can realy debilitate a female lurcher..They are, all over the place, both physically and mentally.... It is a mystery,.but some bitches never seem to get such problems

    Well,.if we are only talking rabbits,...it is uneconomical to keep lots of different dogs, for different tasks,... Most dogs can put on a fair showing, at both daytime and after dark excursions,...you do get specialists that excel at one discipline,.but as a rule,..it is sensible to use a dog as much as possible,..and fling everything that you can at him... Truth is,.a lurchers' career,. can often be a short one,..so personally, I'll take my sport/work,.. wherever and whenever I can find it,.. All the best, Phil.

    What a nice pleasant thread,..so reminiscent of the original content,.. of this unique hunting mans website.... As a veteran hunter, it is difficult for me to contribute to many topics,...I only hunt a few rabbits,..I don't 'do' teeth,..and my dogs would probably run away from a large deer,.and quickly give up, on a good strong hare,.so,.my posting options,... are somewhat limited,.. Mind you, it is nice to look back on past events, and to remember a time when 'quantity' meant nowt,..and quality,.. combined with good craic,.. was the order of the day. All the best, Phil.

    Over the last 50 years, I've killed a lot of game,..perhaps, too much... However,..bushing rabbits, etc,..has always been at the top of my list,...I rate it highly.... Superb vids,...realy enjoyed them... All the best, Phil.
